Rouglas Odor
Rouglas José Odor (born January 26, 1968) is a Venezuelan professional baseball infielder and coach. Odor is the manager of the Akron RubberDucks, the Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians. Career Odor attended the University of New Orleans, and played college baseball for the New Orleans Privateers. In 1987, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Chatham A's of the Cape Cod Baseball League. He began his professional career in the Cleveland Indians organization for the Burlington Indians in 1988. He played for eight seasons in Minor League Baseball for the Indians and Milwaukee Brewers organizations, and in the Texas-Louisiana League in 1995. From 1996 to 2001, Odor was the field coordinator of a Venezuelan academy run by the Indians. He became a hitting coach with the Akron RubberDucks. Infielder
An infielder is a baseball player stationed at one of four defensive "infield" positions on the baseball field. Standard arrangement of positions In a game of baseball, two teams of nine players take turns playing offensive and defensive roles. Although there are many rules to baseball, in general the team playing offense tries to score runs by batting balls into the field that enable runners to make a complete circuit of the four bases. The team playing in the field tries to prevent runs by catching the ball before it hits the ground, by tagging runners with the ball while they are not touching a base, or by throwing the ball to first base before the batter who hit the ball can run from home plate to first base. Rougned Roberto Odor () (born February 3, 1994), nicknamed "Rougie", is a Venezuelan professional baseball second baseman who is a free agent. He previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Texas Rangers, New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles. He played for Texas’s minor league affiliates from 2011 until he was called up to the MLB team in 2014. The Rangers traded Odor to the Yankees in 2021 and he was released on November 23, 2021. He was later signed by the Orioles. Early life and family Odor was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, on February 3, 1994. The Lynchburg Hillcats are a Minor League Baseball team in Lynchburg, Virginia that plays in the Carolina League and is the Single-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians. They were a farm team of the Atlanta Braves from 2011 to 2014, the Cincinnati Reds in 2010, and the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1995 to 2009. The Caribes de Anzoátegui ( en, Anzoátegui Caribs) is a baseball team in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League based in Puerto la Cruz, Anzoátegui. Franchise history In January 1987, a local businessmen group based in Puerto la Cruz, Venezuela stated their intention to Venezuelan Professional Baseball League to pursue an expansion franchise. Finally on July 15, 1987, the franchise was founded with 21 stockholders and begun a struggle for finding a second expansion team for it was a league requirement. The 2017 World Baseball Classic (WBC) was an international professional baseball competition, composed of 16 competing nations, held from March 6 to March 22, 2017. It was the fourth iteration of the World Baseball Classic. The first-round hosts were Seoul, Tokyo, Miami, and Zapopan.
