End of Fashion are an Australian pop rock band from Perth, Western Australia. The group gained mainstream attention with its 2005 single, " O Yeah", that was voted into eighth position of the "Hottest 100" poll, compiled by Australian youth radio station, Triple J. The group has released three studio albums. In January 2014, the band took a hiatus before reforming for their first show on 22 September 2018 at the Indian Ocean Hotel in Scarborough. Power pop (also typeset as powerpop) is a form of pop rock based on the early music of bands such as the Who, the Beatles, the Beach Boys, and the Byrds. Hello Cleveland!
Hello Cleveland! is an independent record label based in Darlinghurst, New South Wales. Established by One Louder Entertainment (who manage Paul Kelly, Neil Finn, Kate Miller-Heidke, Alex The Astronaut and Ball Park Music) in 2001, their records were distributed by EMI in Australia and New Zealand. The name is a reference to the film ''This Is Spinal Tap'', in which the eponymous band becomes hopelessly lost in a maze of tunnels beneath the stage of their gig. One of the band members repeatedly says "Hello Cleveland!" in anticipation of actually finding the stage. After several years of inactivity, in 2010 hello Cleveland! signed electronic pop act, Fatty Gets a Stylist, a side project of Miller-Heidke. Their self-titled debut album was released in October 2010. ''Too Careful'' is the second EP by the Australian power pop band End of Fashion. It was released on 1 November 2004 on the Capitol Records label. The songs "Too Careful" and "Love Comes In" were later re-recorded for End of Fashion's self-titled debut album. ''End of Fashion'' is the debut album by Australian band End of Fashion. It was released in Australia on 15 August 2005, reaching number 3 in the Australian ARIA Albums Chart, and was certified gold by the Australian Recording Industry Association in 2006. It features the single " O Yeah", which reached number 21 on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart. It also features re-recorded versions of previously released songs, "Rough Diamonds" and "She's Love" from the '' Rough Diamonds'' EP, and "Too Careful" and "Love Comes In" from the '' Too Careful'' EP. Additional musicians on the album include Hugh Jennings (a former bassist for End of Fashion), Katy Steele of Little Birdy, and producer Dennis Herring. Criticism End of Fashion have been criticised for their uncredited copying of the guitar riff from the Pixies song "Where Is My Mind?" for their song " O Yeah". The 2004 Triple J Hottest 100 was announced on 26 January 2005. It was the twelfth such countdown of the most popular songs of the year, according to listeners of the Australian radio station Triple J. Voters were limited to 20 votes each: 10 via SMS (charged at 30c each) and 10 via the Internet (no charge). U2's "Vertigo" placed at number 38, despite having not been played on Triple J. Triple J presenter Craig Reucassel encouraged voters to vote for the '' Media Watch'' theme music on the condition that his counterpart Chris Taylor would do a nude run through the Big Day Out if it made the hottest 100. While announcing the count, Reucassel called number 7 for the Media Watch theme, initiating Taylor on a streak through the music festival.
