Rotting Piñata
''Rotting Piñata'' is the debut studio album by American rock band Sponge, released on August 2, 1994 through Work Group. Hit singles from this album, such as " Plowed" and "Molly (16 Candles Down the Drain)", helped launch the band's career and the album was certified gold by the RIAA in July 1995. Release ''Rotting Piñata'' is Sponge's best selling album, having sold more than 500,000 copies. Although released in August 1994, the album did not enter the ''Billboard'' 200 until February 1995, following the success of its second single "Plowed". ''Rotting Piñata'' peaked at number 58 and remained on the chart for 40 weeks. Critical reception ''Rotting Piñata'' received mostly positive reviews. Sponge (band)
Sponge is an American Rock music, rock band formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1992 by vocalist Vinnie Dombroski, guitarist Mike Cross, bassist Tim Cross, drummer Jimmy Paluzzi, and guitarist Joey Mazzola. Dombroski and the Cross brothers were previously in the hard rock band Loudhouse, with Mazzola joining later before the end of the band's tenure. Sponge's discography includes nine studio albums, four live albums, and several charting singles. Pearl Jam

Mastering, a form of audio post production, is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device (the master), the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication). Howie Weinberg is an American audio mastering engineer with over 2,257 mastering credits, three TEC Awards, 21 Grammy Awards, two Juno Awards, and one Mercury Prize. Career Weinberg mastered Herbie Hancock's 1983 album ''Future Shock''. Other mastering works include the Beastie Boys' ''Licensed to Ill'' and Nirvana's ''Nevermind''. Andrew Patalan (born March 14, 1970) is an American musician best known as the guitarist and backing vocalist for the alternative rock band Sponge. He also is a founding member of Solid Frog and Throttlebody. He was also the guitarist for Brownsville Station from 2011–2013. His brother Tim Patalan is the bassist and producer of Sponge. Nürburgring
The is a 150,000 person capacity motorsports complex located in the town of Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The (German for "Rock at the Ring") and ("Rock in the Park") festivals are two simultaneous rock music festivals held annually. Joey Mazzola
Joe "Joey" Mazzola (born April 13, 1961) is a guitarist, songwriter, music educator and visual artist and is probably best known as a founding member of the American rock band, Sponge. Joe was the original Sponge guitarist and played with the band for nine years. He is also a former member of The Detroit Cobras, whom he played with for 6-1/2 years, and The Sugarcoats. Career A Detroit native, Mazzola spent five of the hardest years of his life (1987-1992), on the Los Angeles club circuit.
