Mika Rottenberg (born 1976) is a contemporary Argentine-Israeli video artist who lives and works in New York City. Rottenberg is best known for her surreal video and installation work that often "investigates the link between the female body and production mechanisms". Her work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally. Biography Mika Rottenberg was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1976. She made ''aliyah'' to Israel with her family in 1977. In 1998, she graduated from HaMidrasha School of Art, Beit Berl College, Israel. In 2000, Rottenberg moved to New York to continue her education, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in 2000 and a Master of Fine Arts from Columbia University in 2004. Ena Rottenberg
Ena Rottenberg (born Emma Helena Rottenberg, 9 November 1893, Oravița, Banat, Kingdom of Hungary - 4 June 1952, Vienna, Austria) was a Hungarian-Austrian craftswoman, draftswoman, ceramist and member of the artists' community of the Wiener Werkstätte. Career Ena Rottenberg began studying at the Vienna School of Applied Arts (''K.K. Kunstgewerbeschule'') in 1916. Her teachers included the sculptors Josef Breitner and Anton Hanak and the painter Anton von Kenner. After graduating, she worked as a freelance painter and made designs for ceramics, decorations for cut glass, jewellery and ivory paintings, selling her pieces through the Wiener Werkstätte. In the mid-1920s she designed four stained-glass windows for a Viennese convent of Franciscan nuns. Anda Rottenberg (born 23 April 1944) is a Polish art historian, art curator, art critic, and writer recognized for her contributions to recognizing Poland's art world. She was former director of the Zachęta National Gallery of Art in Warsaw and member of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA), International "Manifesta" Foundation and the International "Germinations" Foundation. She launched Egit, one of the first foundations for art in Poland, served as Director of the Department of Art at the Ministry of Culture and Art, was curator and commissioner of the Polish Pavilion in the Venice Biennial from 1973-2001, and was instrumental in establishing the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. Enrique Rottenberg (August 12, 1948) is an artist currently working with photography and installations. His artistic career is as plural as his national identity. Born in Argentina in 1948, to Jewish parents of Polish descent, he emigrated alone to Israel at the age of 13. Biography After serving in the Israeli army, he developed a successful real estate business, while at the same time, beginning in 1980, he started producing films and studied at the Camera Obscura School in Tel Aviv. Ludwig Rottenberg (11 October 1865 – 6 May 1932) was an Austrian/German composer and conductor. Biography Rottenberg came from a German-speaking Jewish family in Czernowitz, the then-capital of Bukovina, which at the time was part of the Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy. He studied music in his birthplace, and later at the Vienna Conservatory. During his studies he conducted an amateur orchestra and worked as a Lieder accompanist. He started his professional conducting career at the Brno opera house. In 1892 he succeeded Felix Dessoff as ''Erster Kapellmeister'' at the Frankfurt Opera. He was recommended for the position by Johannes Brahms and Hans von Bülow, being preferred to two other famous applicants, Richard Strauss and Felix Mottl. He held this position until 1926.
