Brian Rotman
Brian Rotman is a British-born professor who works in the United States. Trained as a mathematician and now an established philosopher, Rotman has blended semiotics, mathematics and the history of writing in his work and teaching throughout his career. He is currently a distinguished humanities professor in the department of comparative studies at Ohio State University, has also taught at Stanford and given invited lectures at universities throughout the United States including Berkeley, MIT, Brown, Stanford, Duke, Notre Dame, Penn State, Minnesota, and Cornell. Jaime José Rotman
Jaime José Rotman was an Argentine football goalkeeper. He began his career in 1932 with Argentinos Juniors, where he played until 1935. He then joined Vélez Sársfield. In 1942 he joined Club Atlético Atlanta, but he returned to Vélez after only one season with Atlanta. Joseph Rotman
Joseph Louis Rotman, (January 6, 1935 – January 27, 2015), was a noted Canadian businessman and philanthropist. Rotman was the founder, benefactor and member of many successful organizations, such as the Clairvest Group Inc., the Rotman Research Institute, the Rotman School of Management, and the Rotman Institute of Philosophy. Throughout his life, he received three honorary degrees, as well as an induction into the Canadian Business Hall of Fame. He is well-regarded for donating his time and financial assistance to numerous philanthropic causes including the arts, education and healthcare. Sergiu Dan
Sergiu Dan (; born Isidor Rotman or Rottman; December 29, 1903 – March 13, 1976) was a Romanian novelist, journalist, Holocaust survivor and political prisoner of the communist regime. Dan, the friend and collaborator of Romulus Dianu, was noted during the interwar period as a contributor to Romania's avant-garde and modernist scene, collaborating with poet Ion Vinea on ''Contimporanul'' review and ''Facla'' newspaper. He was also affiliated with the rival literary club, ''Sburătorul'', and noted for criticizing the Communism, communist sympathies of other avant-garde writers. His main works of the 1930s include contributions to the psychological novel, Thriller (genre), thriller and political novel genres, received with critical acclaim. Walter Rotman
Walter Rotman (August 24, 1922 – May 19, 2007) was an American scientist known for his work in radar and antenna design. Among his inventions were the Rotman lens, the sandwich wire antenna, and the trough waveguide. Biography Walter Rotman was born on August 24, 1922, in St. Louis, Missouri. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II as a technician for the radar division. After the war, he studied electrical engineering at MIT where he received his BSc and MSc. In 1948, he joined the research laboratories of the Air Force (AFRL) where he became the branch chief of a laboratory concentrating on investigating the effect of plasma on re-entry vehicles. In 1980, he retired from AFRL and joined MIT Lincoln Laboratory where he worked on reflector antennas until his retirement in 1990. He died on May 19, 2007, at the age of 84 in Boston, Massachusetts.
