Rothwell is a coastal suburb in the Moreton Bay Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , Rothwell had a population of 7,165 people. Geography Rothwell is in the west of the Redcliffe peninsula, approximately north-northeast of Brisbane, the state capital of Queensland. The suburb is bounded to the north by the bay of Deception Bay (part of Moreton Bay), to the east in part by Nathan Road, and to the south and south-west by Saltwater Creek. Anzac Avenue enters the suburb from the east (Kippa-Ring) and proceeds west, where at a large intersection () Anzac Avenue continues to the south-west exiting to Mango Hill, while Deception Bay Road heads north-west exiting to the suburb of Deception Bay.The Redcliffe Peninsula railway line enters the suburb from the east (Kippa-Ring) and exits to the south (Mango Hill), connecting to the North Coast railway line at Petrie. Redcliffe Aerodrome
Redcliffe Airport is an aerodrome serving Redcliffe in Moreton Bay Region, Queensland, Australia. It is located northwest of Redcliffe, in the suburb of Rothwell, accessed via Nathan Road. The facility is owned and operated by Moreton Bay Regional Council, following the amalgamation of the Redcliffe City Council. Facilities The airport resides at an elevation of above sea level and has one runway designated 07/25 which measures . It is equipped with pilot activated low intensity runway lighting for night operations and the aerodrome also has refuelling facilities. Petrie Railway Station
Petrie railway station is located on the North Coast line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the suburb of Petrie in the Moreton Bay Region. It opened as North Pine railway station in1888 after the nearby North Pine River and was renamed Petrie railway station (after local pioneer Thomas Petrie) in 1911. The station has five platforms. As part of the Redcliffe Peninsula line, the station was expanded with a new island platform built east of the existing platforms. It opened along with the rest of the line on 4 October 2016. As part of the project, a third track was added south of the station to Lawnton. North of the station, the Redcliffe Peninsula line branches off. North Coast Railway Line, Queensland
The North Coast railway line is a 1067 mm railway line in Queensland, Australia. It commences at Roma Street station, Brisbane, and largely parallels the Queensland coast to Cairns in Far North Queensland. The line is electrified between Brisbane and Rockhampton. Redcliffe Peninsula Railway Line
The Redcliffe Peninsula line is a 12 km stretch of heavy gauge dual-track railway between Petrie and Kippa-Ring on the Redcliffe peninsula. The new line is part of Queensland Rail's City suburban network, branching from the North Coast line. It starts 200 metres north of Petrie railway station, extending from ( to north of Central railway station). The line has six stations: Kallangur, Murrumba Downs, Mango Hill, Mango Hill East (previously called Kinsellas Road), Rothwell and Kippa-Ring. Anzac Avenue
Anzac Avenue is a heritage-listed major arterial road lined with trees in the Moreton Bay Region, Queensland, Australia. It runs from Petrie to Redcliffe, with most of the route signed as state route 71. The route was formerly the main route to the Redcliffe peninsula, until the Hornibrook Bridge was opened in 1935. Opened in 1925, Anzac Memorial Avenue (as it was originally named) is the longest World War I memorial avenue in Queensland and was the first bitumen motor road connecting Brisbane to the popular holiday resort of Redcliffe, and reflects the growth in car usage in the early 1920s.
