Rossmore is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is bound to the east by Kemps Creek, the west by South Creek, the north by Fifteenth Avenue, and the south by Rileys Creek in the southwest and a non natural border from there. The main road through the centre of the suburb is Bringelly Road. History Rossmore was originally known as Cabramatta after the parish of Cabramatta. It was the subject of a novel called ''The Cabramatta Store'' by Mary Theresa Vidal, which is believed to be the first novel published by a woman in Australia. In 1856, the railway line was extended from Granville to Liverpool and a station was established at what is now the modern-day Cabramatta. There was a horse stud in the area called ''Rossmoor Stud'' which is believed to have been named after ''Rossmore Lodge,'' a famous horse stud in Kildare, Ireland. Rossmore is a suburb of Johannesburg, around 5 km northwest of City Hall. It borders Langlaagte to the north and Homestead Park. The name comes from the village of Paarlshoop, the oldest private township on the Witwatersrand. Rossmore covers 1 km2 and borders Westdene on the northwest, Melville on the north, Auckland Park on the east, Brixton on the south, and Hurst Hill on the southwest. The majority of Rossmore consists of the Kingsway Campus Auckland Park of the University of Johannesburg, Helen Joseph Hospital, and Hoërskool Vorentoe. Just east of Chiselhurst Drive and north of the southwestern end of St. Swinthin's and Auckland Avenues, in the latter case very old ones. Rossmore was founded on September 9, 1925, and was laid out on Braamfontein Farm. Kilkivan is a town and locality in the Gympie Region of Queensland, Australia. At the , Kilkivan had a population of 713. Geography The town is situated on the Wide Bay Highway, north of the state capital, Brisbane and west of Gympie. One Mile Creek () meanders through the town, east of the Wide Bay Highway. The town lies in the Mary River drainage basin. Rossmore is a neighbourhood within the locality to the south-west of the town of Kilkivan (). History Kilkivan was first inhabited by the Wakka Wakka tribe of the Australian Aboriginal peoples. The town was first settled by Europeans in the 1840s. Ellesmere Port ( ) is a port town in the Cheshire West and Chester borough in Cheshire, England. Ellesmere Port is on the south eastern edge of the Wirral Peninsula, north of Chester, south of Birkenhead, southwest of Runcorn and south of Liverpool.
