Rossese Di Dolceacqua
Tibouren or Rossese di Dolceacqua is a red French wine grape variety that is primarily grown in Provence and Liguria but originated in Greece and possibly even the Middle East. Intensely aromatic, with an earthy bouquet that wine expert Jancis Robinson describes as ''garrigue'', Tibouren is often used in the production of ''rosés''. J. Robinson ''Vines, Grapes & Wines'' pg 203 Mitchell Beazley 1986 Wine Pros 'Tibouren entry'' ''The Oxford Companion to Wine''. Accessed: February 21, 2011 J. Robinson ''Jancis Robinson's Guide to Wine Grapes'' pg 22 Oxford University Press 1996 While the unique aroma and character of the wines produced by Tibouren are valued by producers, it is not a widely planted variety. This is due, in part, to the viticultural issues of the grape's sensitivity to coulure and tendency to produce highly irregular yields from vintage to vintage. The wines produced from Rossese are a local specialty found around Dolceacqua. J. Robinson ''Jancis Robinson's Win ...

Denominazione Di Origine Controllata
The following four classifications of wine constitute the Italian system of labelling and legally protecting Italian wine: * ''Denominazione di origine'' (DO, rarely used; ; English: “designation of origin”), * ''Indicazione geografica tipica'' (IGT; ; “indication of geographical typicality”), * ''Denominazione di origine controllata'' (DOC; ; “controlled designation of origin”), and * ''Denominazione di origine controllata e garantita'' (DOCG; ; “controlled and guaranteed designation of origin”). The system was introduced in 1963 shortly after the Treaty of Rome established Italy as a founding member of the European Economic Community, and was modelled on the extant French ''Appellation d'origine contrôlée'' (AOC) laws. It was overhauled in 1992 to match new European Union law on Protected Designation of Origin, introducing the more general ''Denominazione di Origine Protetta'' (DOP) designation for foods and agricultural products, including wines. Further EU ...

Rossese Bianco
Rossese bianco is a white Italian wine grape variety that is grown around the communes of Roddino and Sinio in the Langhe region of the province of Cuneo in Piedmont. While sharing the name ''Rossese'' with several Italian varieties (including Rossese di Dolceacqua, Grillo and Ruzzese), DNA profiling has shown that all these varieties have unique genetic profiles and appear to have no close relationship to each other.J. Robinson, J. Harding and J. Vouillamoz ''Wine Grapes - A complete guide to 1,368 vine varieties, including their origins and flavours'' pgs 910-911 Allen Lane 2012 Ampelographers believe that the name ''Rossese'' came from a description of the intense color of the Rossese berries with the many varieties that are known as ''Rossese'' having skin colors that range from deep red to pink to dark gold after veraison. History In 1596, Andrea Bacci of Sant'Elpidio a Mare, a winemaker who also served as a physician to Felice Peretti di Montalto before his ele ...
