Ross McLennan (drummer)
Ross McLennan is an Australian drummer, best known as a member of Australian rock band The Predators. Prior to performing for The Predators, McLennan also drummed for Far Out Corporation, a rock band led by Grant McLennan (no relation). He also drummed for Brisbane four piece group Turtlebox from 1995 until 1996. McLennan's first release was an EP entitled '' UFO Jesus Returns'', recorded with the band Turtlebox in 1996. The band had released their debut EP '' Shameless Pop Songs'' prior to McLennan joining the group. He subsequently released an album with Far Out Corporation - '' FOC'' in 1998, and also released an EP with The Predators, entitled '' Pick Up the Pace'' in 2006. McLennan currently plays guitar for the Minnesota Triplets, a Husker Du tribute band and drums in Brisbane band Union Radio. An album is a collection of audio recordings issued on compact disc (CD), vinyl, audio tape, or another medium such as digital distribution. Splendour In The Grass
Splendour in the Grass (commonly referred to as Splendour) is an annual Australian music festival held at the North Byron Parklands in Yelgun, New South Wales. Since its inauguration, the festival has also been held in various locations near Byron Bay, New South Wales, and Woodford, Queensland. History The festival was jointly created and promoted by the Village Sounds Agency and Secret Service music companies, and began in 2001 as a one-day gathering to cater for Australia's winter season (a period that had traditionally been associated with very few events of this nature). Ringo Starr
Sir Richard Starkey (born 7 July 1940), known professionally as Ringo Starr, is an English musician, singer, songwriter and actor who achieved international fame as the drummer for the Beatles. Charlie Watts
Charles Robert Watts (2 June 1941 – 24 August 2021) was an English musician who achieved international fame as the drummer of the Rolling Stones from 1963 until his death in 2021. Originally trained as a graphic artist, Watts developed an interest in jazz at a young age and joined the band Blues Incorporated. He also started playing drums in London's rhythm and blues clubs, where he met future bandmates Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Brian Jones. In January 1963, he left Blues Incorporated and joined the Rolling Stones as drummer, while doubling as designer of their record sleeves and tour stages. Steven Bishop (born 3 March 1970) is an Australian drummer, formerly of Australian band Powderfinger though he left the band before their rise to prominence because of illness. Later, while working in the UK for two years he played in London-based bands. Pick Up The Pace
''Pick Up the Pace'' is the debut EP by Australian alternative rock band The Predators. It was released on 1 July 2006 through Dew Process and Universal Music Australia. The EP was produced after Powderfinger entered a hiatus, and several of its band members sought work with side projects. Following the release of ''Pick Up the Pace'', The Predators embarked on a minor tour around Australia, including a performance at Splendour in the Grass, before officially going on hiatus, around the time Powderfinger reformed. History The Predators consist of the three original Powderfinger members; Ian Haug (guitar), John Collins ( bass), and Steven Bishop ( drums, vocals), and thus ''Pick Up the Pace'' was influenced by the band's early work.
