Rosman Sulaiman
Rosman Sulaiman (born 6 November 1982) is a Singaporean footballer who plays for S.League side, Woodlands Wellington. He is a versatile player who is able to play in a variety of positions across the backline, as well in as the left, right or centre of midfield. Club career Prior to joining his present club, Woodlands Wellington, Rosman has played for S.League clubs Marine Castle, Tanjong Pagar United, Young Lions and most recently Home United. He also had a loan spell at NFL side, Police Sports Association. As he plays mostly in defense, Rosman has only scored three goals despite chalking up more than 200 appearances in the S.League. Two of these goals came from the time where he was still playing for Tanjong Pagar United against Clementi Khalsa on 27 March 2002 and Sembawang Rangers on 23 May 2002. Woodlands Wellington Football Club is an inactive professional association football, football club which played in the S.League, the top division of football in Singapore. They are based in Woodlands, Singapore, Woodlands at the 4,300 seater Woodlands Stadium, where they have played since their establishment. Woodlands Wellington FC's honours include winning the inaugural Singapore League Cup in 2007, defeating Sengkang Punggol FC 4–0 in the final. Singapore League Cup
The Singapore League Cup was an annual soccer competition in Singapore. It was launched in 2007, and was open to teams who play in the S.League. The 2007 competition was sponsored by SingTel, and officially titled the SingTel League Cup. Eight of the twelve S.League teams took part in the 2007 tournament, which was held before the start of the S.League season proper. In 2008, the competition's official sponsored name was the Avaya-J&J League Cup (with sponsorship coming from Avaya and Jebsen & Jessen Communications). All twelve S.League teams took part in the 2008 tournament. Unlike the 2007 event, the 2008 competition was held during the S.League season. Singapore Cup
The Singapore Cup is an annual knockout football competition in men's domestic Singaporean football. Established in 1998, it is the foremost football cup competition in the country. It is open to clubs in the Singapore Premier League. Since 2005, foreign teams from other countries in Southeast Asia are occasionally invited to compete in the Singapore Cup. Chonburi Province FC from Thailand was the first foreign club reaching the final in 2006 (they lost 3–2 in the final to local club Tampines Rovers). In 2009, Bangkok Glass became the second foreign team to reach the final, losing against local club Geylang United, but they beat Tampines Rovers in 2010 to become the first foreign winners of the Singapore Cup. The Singapore Olympic Foundation – Peter Lim Charity Cup, also known as the Peter Lim Charity Cup in short, was an exhibition fundraising match between the Singapore Selection and 2013 Copa del Rey winners, Atlético Madrid. The match was held at the Jalan Besar Stadium on 22 May 2013 and Atlético Madrid prevailed with a 2-0 scoreline with goals coming from Raúl García and Diego Costa. All ticket proceeds from the match went towards the Singapore Olympic Foundation, whose aim is to help promising young athletes from humble backgrounds realise their dreams of achieving sporting excellence.
