Rosey Brown
Roosevelt "Rosey" Brown Jr. (October 20, 1932 – June 9, 2004) was an American professional football player who was an offensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL) for the New York Giants from 1953 to 1965. He previously played college football for Morgan State University. After being selected with the 321st pick in the 1953 NFL Draft, he appeared in 162 games for the Giants, missing only four games in a 13-year career. In his prime, between 1956 and 1963, he helped lead the Giants to six division championships and the 1956 NFL Championship Game. He was selected as a first-team All-NFL player eight consecutive years and was also selected to play in the Pro Bowl nine times. After retiring as a player, Brown remained with the Giants as an assistant coach and later as a scout. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1974, was named to the NFL's 75th Anniversary All-Time Team in 1994 and was named to the NFL's 100th Anniversary All-Time Team in 2019. He w ... Sam Dolan
Samuel Michael Patrick "Rosy" Dolan (1884 – December 30, 1944) was an American football player and coach. He played for the University of Notre Dame and coached at Oregon State University, then known as Oregon Agricultural College. Playing career Dolan played football at Notre Dame from 1906 to 1909. While at Notre Dame, Dolan was a four-year starter a right guard. In his four seasons as a player, the Fighting Irish were 27–2–2. Dolan also attended school at Oregon Agricultural College in 1909, however did not play football for OAC. Collegiate coaching In 1911, Dolan became the head football coach at Oregon State. During that 1911 season, OAC did not play their in state rivals, the University of Oregon. There was no Oregon–Oregon State football rivalry game that year due to a riot at the game the year before. Rosey Edeh (born August 16, 1966) is a Canadian television personality, who was a news anchor for ''Global News at Noon'' on Global Toronto and senior reporter for ''ET Canada''. She is currently C.E.O. of Micha Muse Media and has directed her debut film '' Oliver Jones: Mind Hands Heart''. She is currently a morning co-anchor for CTV Morning Live Ottawa. Gabrielle Rose "Rosey" Fletcher (born November 30, 1975, in Anchorage, Alaska) is an American three-time Olympian snowboarder. She competed at the 1998 Winter Olympics, the 2002 Winter Olympics, and the 2006 Winter Olympics. Fletcher won the Olympic bronze medal in the 2006 women's Parallel Giant Slalom event. Roosevelt "Rosey" Grier (born July 14, 1932) is an American actor, singer, Protestant minister, and former professional football player. He was a notable college football player for Pennsylvania State University who earned a retrospective place in the National Collegiate Athletic Association 100th anniversary list of 100 most influential student athletes. As a professional player, Grier was a member of the New York Giants and the original Fearsome Foursome of the Los Angeles Rams. He played in the Pro Bowl twice. After Grier's professional sports career, he worked as a bodyguard for Senator Robert Kennedy during the 1968 presidential campaign. Grier was guarding Ethel Kennedy when Senator Kennedy was shot. William George "Rosey" Rosenbaum (December 17, 1889 – January 12, 1949) was an American politician. Born in Owensboro, Kentucky, Rosenbaum moved to Arizona Territory, in 1911, because of health problems. He worked at a mine mill in Hayden, Arizona and was the foreman and was a pharmacist. He served in the United States Army during World War I. He served in the Arizona House of Representatives from 1927 until his death in 1949. He served as the speaker in 1934 and was a member of the Democratic Party. His wife Polly Rosenbaum was appointed to his seat after his death. Albert Kennedy "Rosey" Rowswell (February 1, 1884 – February 6, 1955) was an American radio sportscaster, best known for being the first full-time play-by-play announcer for the Pittsburgh Pirates Major League Baseball club, for whom he worked exclusively during 19 consecutive seasons. Rowswell was affectionately dubbed "Rosey" by baseball people and revering fans alike. Roosevelt "Rosey" Taylor (July 4, 1937May 29, 2020) was an American professional football player who was a safety for the Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers, and Washington Redskins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Grambling State University. Part of Grambling's initial SWAC championship defense in 1960 – the group included four future All-Pros – Taylor went on to lead the NFL with nine interceptions in 1963, on the way to 32 career picks. Taylor was a key defensive player on the 1963 Bears NFL championship team, during which he led the Bears in interceptions with 9 and in kick returns. Matthew Tapunu'u Anoaʻi (April 7, 1970 – April 17, 2017) was an American professional wrestler, best known for his time on the independent circuit under numerous ring names, and his time in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), where he competed as Rosey. Anoa‘i was a member of the Anoaʻi family, a renowned Samoan wrestling family. Anoa‘i, along with his late cousins Eddie Fatu and Matt Fatu, was trained at the Wild Samoan Training Facility headed by his uncle, Afa Anoaʻi.
