Franz Rosenzweig (, ; 25 December 1886 – 10 December 1929) was a German theologian, philosopher, and translator. Early life and education Franz Rosenzweig was born in Kassel, Germany, to an affluent, minimally observant Jewish family. His father owned a factory for dyestuff and was a city council member. Through his granduncle, Adam Rosenzweig, he came in contact with traditional Judaism and was inspired to request Hebrew lessons when he was around 11 years old. Yet he did not learn of Sabbat eve until after he was in college. He started to study medicine for five semesters in Göttingen, Munich, and Freiburg. In 1907 he changed subjects and studied history and philosophy in Freiburg and Berlin. Jake Rosenzweig (born April 14, 1989 in London) is an English-born American racing driver. Career Karting Much of Rosenzweig's early karting career was contested in the United Kingdom, with him competing in Super 1 karting championships. In 2001, Rosenzweig finished fifth in the Cadet Championship, having been outside the top thirty positions the previous season. 2002 saw Rosenzweig step up to JICA karts, again competing in the Super 1 championship, staying there for two seasons with an additional shot at the Andrea Margutti Trophy in 2004. After a season out in 2005, Rosenzweig moved up to ICA karts for the 2006 season. Rosenzweig contested the Stars of Karting championship in the United States, finishing eighth overall in the championship standings. Saul Rosenzweig
Saul Rosenzweig (1907–2004) was an American psychologist and therapist who studied subjects such as Repression (psychology), repression, psychotherapy, and aggression. Rosenzweig, who, with a co-author, has been credited with being the first to attempt to "elicit repression" in a laboratory setting, became well known after publishing a paper discussing "Common factors theory, common factors" underlying competing approaches to psychotherapy. Biography Rosenzweig, a friend and classmate of B.F. Skinner, earned his doctorate from Harvard College in 1932. Roy Alan Rosenzweig (August 6, 1950 – October 11, 2007) was an American historian at George Mason University in Virginia. He was the founder and director of the Center for History and New Media from 1994 until his death in October 2007 from lung cancer, aged 57. Early life and education Rosenzweig was born on August 6, 1950 in New York City and was raised in Bayside, Queens. Gerson Rosenzweig (; April 1861 – 14 February 1914) was a Russian-American editor, author, and poet. He is best known for his Hebrew- and Yiddish-language satires, poems, and epigrams. Biography Born in Białystok, Rosenzweig received his education in Berlin, Kraków, and other cities of the Russian Empire. He conducted a Hebrew school in Suwałki, Russian Poland, before emigrating to the United States in 1888. After settling in New York City, Rosenzweig became joint editor of the ''Yidishes tageblatt'' ('Jewish Daily News'), ''Yidishe gazetten'' ('Jewish Gazette'), and ''Idishe velt'' ('Jewish World'), a position he held until 1905. Joseph "Joe The Greaser" Rosenzweig (born c. 1891, year of death unknown) was an American New York City labor racketeer in the early 1900s as an ally of "Dopey" Benny Fein during the Labor Slugger Wars (1914–1917). Biography Born in Romania, Rosenzweig arrived in New York during the 1890s and worked as a tailor's presser for several years before forming a criminal gang around 1907. Controlling labor slugging in New York's Lower East Side, Rosenzweig's organization of around one hundred acted mostly as strikebreakers, specializing in breaking up union picket lines, demonstrations and other protests. With political protection from Tammany Hall Rosenzweig maintained complete control of strikebreaking and labor slugging well into the early 1910s. Rosenzweig's dominance was challenged in 1913, when Philip "Pinchey" Paul began a war with Rosenzweig, lasting over several months. Viktor Rosenzweig (1914–1941) was a Croatian-Jewish communist, poet and writer. Rosenzweig was born in Ruma in 1914. During high school education he became a member of the Young Communist League of Yugoslavia - SKOJ (from Serbo-Croatian: ''Savez komunističke omladine Jugoslavije''). Rosenzweig studied and graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture at University of Zagreb. At the university he was one of the most observed and noticed Marxist around.
