Rosemary Molapo
Reneiloe Rosemary Molapo is a South African politician who is currently serving as Limpopo Provincial Legislature#Officers, Speaker of the Limpopo Provincial Legislature since July 2020. She has represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the provincial legislature since 2014. Molapo has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a higher education diploma from the University of the North in present-day Limpopo Province, Limpopo province. She was formerly the director of strategic planning at Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality in Limpopo. She was first elected as a Member of the Provincial Legislature in the 2014 South African general election, 2014 general election, when she was ranked 24th on the ANC's provincial party list. Limpopo Provincial Legislature
The Limpopo Provincial Legislature is the primary legislative body of the South African province of Limpopo. It is unicameral in its composition, and elects the premier and the provincial cabinet, the Limpopo Executive Council, from among the members of the leading party or coalition in the parliament. The first legislature was inaugurated in May 1994 as the Northern Transvaal Provincial Legislature. It was renamed in 1995 to the Northern Province Provincial Legislature, and again in 2003 to the Limpopo Provincial Legislature. Essob Mmanoko Mokgonyana, sometimes misspelled Essop Mokgonyane, is a South African politician and trade unionist who has served as Chief Whip of the Majority Party in the Limpopo Provincial Legislature since 2019. He represents the African National Congress (ANC) in that capacity. He previously chaired the Limpopo branch of the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU), an ANC ally, from 2012 to 2019. 2014 South African General Election
General elections were held in South Africa on 7 May 2014, to elect a new National Assembly and new provincial legislatures in each province. It was the fifth election held in South Africa under conditions of universal adult suffrage since the end of the apartheid era in 1994, and also the first held since the death of Nelson Mandela. It was also the first time that South African expatriates were allowed to vote in a South African national election. Mavhungu Maureen Lerule-Ramakhanya is a South African politician. A member of the African National Congress, Lerule-Ramakhanya is a former mayor of the Vhembe District Municipality. She was elected as a Member of the Limpopo Provincial Legislature in May 2019. She was then elected as the speaker of the legislature.
