Auro Roselli (1921 in Pescara - May 12, 2013) was an Italian resistant, journalist, photographer, writer and inventor. Early resistance and the war years Roselli grew up in a working class district of Turin. His father, Gherardo Roselli, was a sculptor, and his mother a homemaker. From his father and his teacher of Humanities, Gaudenzio Manfredi, he learned to question authority under Fascism. This landed him briefly in jail at age thirteen, his first political imprisonment. Growing up, he became attracted to the English language, Anglo American culture, and the international and liberal democratic vision they provided. A brief attendance at the University of Turin in the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures was interrupted in 1940 by military draft into the cadet officers' course of the Alpini troops. Robert Edward Roselli (December 10, 1931 – November 6, 2009) was an American professional baseball player, a catcher who played in Major League Baseball between the and seasons. Listed at , , Roselli batted and threw right-handed. He was born in San Francisco. Following his discharge, Roselli played in parts of three seasons with the Braves as a backup for Del Crandall (1955–56, 1958), and later joined the Chicago White Sox to help Sherm Lollar for two years (1961–62). His most productive season came with the 1961 White Sox, when he hit a career-high .263 in 22 games. Fabio Roselli (born 13 April 1971, in Rome) is a former Italian rugby union player and a currently is the Head coach of Zebre Parma in United Rugby Championship. He played as a wing. Roselli played his entire career for Rugby Roma Olimpic, from 1989/90 to 2002/03. He won one Italian Championship, in 1999/2000, and one Cup of Italy, in 1997/98.
