The Rose of the Year is a prestigious rose award is given annually by the British Association of Rose Breeders. From 1982 to 2001, the British Association of Rose Breeders and the British Group of the HTA granted the title ''Rose of the Year''. Between 1984 and 2001, the title ''Best of the Best'' was granted if the selected rose was an established cultivar, which remained popular over several years. A cultivar is a type of cultivated plant that people have selected for desired traits and when propagated retain those traits. Methods used to propagate cultivars include: division, root and stem cuttings, offsets, grafting, tissue culture, or carefully controlled seed production. ''Great Expectations'' is the thirteenth novel by Charles Dickens and his penultimate completed novel.
