Hocking Hills Reservoir
Hocking Hills Reservoir locally nicknamed ''Rose Lake'' is located just outside Old Man's Cave, in the Hocking Hills region of Hocking County, Ohio, United States. It is a part of the Hocking Hills State Park. Location It is accessed via the crossing of the Old Man's Cave gorge and following the signs - about a hike. There is no direct road access, though a shortcut may be found via a trail from a primitive campground which borders the lake. Hocking Hills reservoir is the approximate midpoint of a trail between Old Man's Cave and Cedar Falls. Specifically, it is found on the Upper Gorge Trail. Hocking Hills Reservoir was formed via the creation of a dam. According to local legend the lake is haunted. Since the park which it is a part of closes at dusk, investigation of said claims is limited to those wishing to stay in the primitive campground, or whom venture in during the day. Rose Lake is an unincorporated community on the Yellowhead Highway in the Bulkley Valley region of northwestern British Columbia, Canada. Its name is derived from the nearby waterbody Rose Lake. Michael Tippett
Sir Michael Kemp Tippett (2 January 1905 – 8 January 1998) was an English composer who rose to prominence during and immediately after the Second World War. In his lifetime he was sometimes ranked with his contemporary Benjamin Britten as one of the leading British composers of the 20th century. Among his best-known works are the oratorio ''A Child of Our Time'', the orchestral '' Fantasia Concertante on a Theme of Corelli'', and the opera ''The Midsummer Marriage''. Tippett's talent developed slowly. He withdrew or destroyed his earliest compositions, and was 30 before any of his works were published. Until the mid-to-late 1950s his music was broadly lyrical in character, before changing to a more astringent and experimental style. New influences, including those of jazz and blues after his first visit to America in 1965, became increasingly evident in his compositions.
