Rose Fernando
Warnakolasooriya Rose Priyanka Fernando (born 28 July 1979) is a Sri Lankan former cricketer who played primarily as a right-arm off break bowler. She appeared in one Test match, 37 One Day Internationals and three Twenty20 Internationals for Sri Lanka women's cricket team between 1997 and 2010. Her sister Hiruka also played cricket for Sri Lanka. Career Fernando made her only Women's Test cricket appearance in a 1998 match against Pakistan. She scored 44 runs in the first innings, and took three wickets in the second innings. Fernando played for Sri Lanka at the 2002 Indoor Cricket World Cup. In 2009, she was given a contract by Sri Lanka Cricket. In the same year, Fernando represented Sri Lanka at the 2009 Women's Cricket World Cup. Wennappuwa
Wennappuwa is a town in Puttalam District, North Western Province, Sri Lanka. It is north of Negombo. The village of Wennappuwa is mentioned in the Culavamsa as a small farming hamlet. History A church made of wattle and daub, consecrated to St. Joseph, was put up in Gangoda in 1850. Very Rev. Fr. Contentious Chounavel (OMI) a French Missionary and the founder of the church arrived at Wennappuwa between 1861 and 1863 A.D. 300 families lived there at the time. His intention was to gather those families whose faith was strong and visible, under one roof. The roads were coming up and he realized that a new church should be built by the main road in order to accommodate the growth. Indoor Cricket World Cup
The Indoor Cricket World Cup is the premier international championship of both men's and women's Indoor Cricket. The event is organised by the sport's governing body, the World Indoor Cricket Federation (WICF) and is held every two or three years. The first Indoor Cricket World Cup contest was organised in England in 1995. Separate world championships are held for both junior and masters age groups with the Junior World Series of Indoor Cricket and the Masters World Series of Indoor Cricket held at similar intervals. The World Cup is contested by the members of the WICF (though member nations have not always entered teams) and beyond being an affiliated member of that body there are no formal qualifications for entry. Jennifer Louise Gunn (born 9 May 1986) is an English former cricketer who plays as a right-arm medium bowler and right-handed batter. The England women's cricket team represents England and Wales in international women's cricket. Since 1998, they have been governed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), having been previously governed by the Women's Cricket Association.
