''Rose-Girl Resli'' (german: Rosen-Resli) is a 1954 West German drama film directed by Harald Reinl and starring Christine Kaufmann, Josefin Kipper and Paul Klinger. The film made the child actress Kaufmann into a star. Harald Reinl
Harald Reinl (8 July 1908 in Bad Ischl, Austria – 9 October 1986 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain) was an Austrian film director. He is known for the films he made based on Edgar Wallace and Karl May books (see Karl May movies and Edgar Wallace movies) and also made mountain films, Heimatfilms, German war films and entries in such popular German film series as ''Dr. Mabuse'', ''Jerry Cotton'' and ''Kommissar X''. Reinl began his career as an extra in the mountain films of Arnold Fanck. He worked as screenwriter on the film '' Tiefland'' directed by and starring Leni Riefenstahl. Reinl's first movie as director was the mountain film ''Mountain Crystal'' (1949). He was Oscar nominated for his documentary feature '' Chariots of the Gods'' (1970). By the 1970s, he had semi-retired to the Canary Islands. Walter Sedlmayr (6 January 1926 – 14 July 1990) was a popular German stage, television, and film actor from Bavaria. His murder in 1990 was widely publicized. Career After his 1945 wartime ''Abitur,'' Sedlmayr served as a ''Flakhelfer'' towards the end of World War II. His acting career began with minor roles with the ''Münchner Kammerspiele,'' for which he played more than 25 years, and in numerous ''Heimatfilme'' during the 1940s and 1950s. In 1971, by now an associate of Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Sedlmayr was briefly arrested because a stolen artwork, the ''Blutenburger Madonna'', was found in his house. He was later acquitted of all charges, and the media attention given to his trial helped him gain major roles. Gusti Wolf (11 April 1912 – 5 May 2007) was an Austrian stage, film, and television actress. Born in Vienna, Wolf was adopted by the painter, Felix Albrecht Harta who became her foster father. Wolf made her stage debut at the Burgtheater in 1934 and from there moved on to Ostrava, Munich, and Berlin. In 1946, she was engaged at the Burgtheater again, whose Honorary Member she became in 1987. Trude Haefelin (1 July 1914 – 3 October 2008) was a German film and stage actress. Biography Haefelin grew up in Munich-Schwabing as a half-ore after the father had fallen in the First World War. She attended the Lyzeum of the English Miss in Wasserburg am Inn and received acting lessons at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich. She gave her stage debut at the Schauspielhaus Munich at the age of 16. She soon came to Berlin, where she appeared at the Rose Theater, at the theater on Nollendorfplatz, at the Deutsches Theater and at the Schillertheater under Heinrich George.
