Rosalynn Sumners
Rosalynn Diane Sumners (born April 20, 1964) is an American former competitive figure skater. She was the World Junior champion in 1980, the U.S. National champion in 1982, 1983 and 1984, World champion in 1983, and won a silver medal at the 1984 Winter Olympics (second to Katarina Witt). Early career Sumners was born in Palo Alto, California and raised in Edmonds, Washington. Sumners considers Edmonds her hometown and is where she learned to skate. Edmonds renamed its 5th Avenue to "Rosalynn Sumners Boulevard" after her winning the silver medal in the 1984 Olympics. Sumners was a hard-working, dedicated skater. Her coach, Lorraine Borman, called the "Wizard of Roz", emphasized her student's artistry as her skating strength. Sumners balanced athleticism and artistry, giving her a competitive edge. Priscilla Hill
Priscilla Hill-Wampler (born October 4, 1961) is an American figure skating coach and former competitor. She is a two-time U.S. national medalist (silver in 1981, bronze in 1978) and finished within the top ten at two World Championships. She won gold at three international events – the 1974 Nebelhorn Trophy, the 1975 Prague Skate, and 1977 Richmond Trophy. In 1975, she became the first American woman to land the triple loop jump in competition. Personal life Priscilla Hill was born on October 4, 1961. Kira Valentinovna Ivanova (russian: Кира Валентиновна Иванова; 10 January 1963 – 18 December 2001) was a Soviet Russian figure skater. She was the 1984 Olympic bronze medalist, the 1985 World silver medalist, a four-time European silver medalist, and a three-time Soviet national champion. Career Ivanova won the silver medal at the 1978 World Junior Championships. She made her senior World debut at the 1979 World Championships, finishing 18th. Elena Germanovna Buianova (russian: Елена Германовна Буянова, née Vodorezova, Водорезова; born 21 May 1963) is a Russian figure skating coach and retired competitive skater who represented the Soviet Union. Audrey Tiffany Chin (born October 3, 1967) is an American figure skating coach and former competitor. She is a two-time World bronze medalist (1985–1986), a two-time Skate America champion (1983, 1986), and the 1985 U.S. national champion. Personal life Chin was born on October 3, 1967, in Oakland, California. She grew up in San Diego, California. She graduated with a BA in English from University of California, Los Angeles.
