Rory Burke
Rory Burke (born 27 April 1994) is an Irish rugby union player. He plays as a prop and previously represented Cork Constitution, Munster and Nottingham and Connacht. Cork Constitution Having been educated at Christian Brothers College, Cork, Burke began playing for Cork Constitution in the Ulster Bank All-Ireland League and was part of the Con team that won the 2014 Bateman Cup. Professional career Munster On 29 April 2017, Burke made his competitive debut for Munster when he came off the bench to replace Stephen Archer in the provinces 14–34 away victory against Treviso in Round 21 of the 2016–17 Pro12 season. Cork (city)
Cork ( , from , meaning 'marsh') is the second largest city in Ireland and third largest city by population on the island of Ireland. It is located in the south-west of Ireland, in the province of Munster. Following an extension to the city's boundary in 2019, its population is over 222,000. The city centre is an island positioned between two channels of the River Lee which meet downstream at the eastern end of the city centre, where the quays and docks along the river lead outwards towards Lough Mahon and Cork Harbour, one of the largest natural harbours in the world. Stephen Archer
Stephen Archer (born 29 January 1988) is an Irish rugby union player for Munster in the United Rugby Championship and European Rugby Champions Cup. He plays as a prop and represents Cork Constitution in the All-Ireland League. Munster Archer made his Munster debut as a replacement against Edinburgh during a Celtic League fixture on 23 October 2009. He was part of the historic Munster team that beat Australia 15–6 at Thomond Park on 16 November 2010. He made his Heineken Cup debut as a replacement in Munster's Round 5 26–10 win against Castres on 14 January 2012, during the 2011–12 Heineken Cup. Archer was part of the team that defeated newly crowned Heineken Cup champions, and arch-rivals, Leinster 19–9 in the 2011 Magners League Grand Final on 28 May 2011. RFU Championship
The RFU Championship is an English rugby union competition comprising twelve clubs. It is the second level of men’s English rugby and is played by both professional and semi-professional players. The competition has existed since 1987, when English clubs were first organised into leagues. Organisation and format The Championship is governed by the Rugby Football Union (RFU). The current competition format is a double round-robin tournament, where teams play each other home and away. The 2021-22 season had no playoff phase, and no team was promoted to the Premiership as no team met the minimum standards criteria. The 2016–17 Pro12 (also known as the ''Guinness Pro12'' for sponsorship reasons) was the sixteenth season of the professional rugby union competition originally known as the Celtic League, and the seventh with a four-country format. It was the third season to be referred to as the ''Guinness Pro12''. The twelve competing teams were the four Irish teams: Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster; two Italian teams: Treviso and Zebre; two Scottish teams: Edinburgh and Glasgow Warriors and four Welsh teams: Cardiff Blues, Newport Gwent Dragons, Ospreys and Scarlets. The first stage involved the 12 teams playing home and away in a league format with the top four sides qualifying for the semi-finals. The semi-finals were one-off matches with 1st playing 4th and 2nd playing 3rd, with the higher ranked team receiving home advantage. Benetton Rugby, also known as Benetton Treviso ( or ), is an Italian professional rugby union team based in Treviso, Veneto competing in the United Rugby Championship, the European Rugby Challenge Cup and European Champions Cup. Treviso rugby team was founded in 1932 and has won 15 Italian national championships. The team has been owned by the Benetton clothing company since 1979.
