Ropati Pitoitua ( ; born April 6, 1985) is a former American football defensive end. He was signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2008. He played college football at Washington State. Pitoitua has also played for the Kansas City Chiefs and Tennessee Titans. Early years Pitoitua was born in American Samoa to Sooalo Ropati and Faipine Pitoitua. He has 1 brother and 4 sisters. He played football and basketball at Clover Park High School in Lakewood, Washington, although he did not pick up football until his junior season. Tuiletufuga Le Mamea Ropati Mualia is a Samoan politician, and member of the Council of Deputies. Over his career he has served as a Cabinet Minister, Leader of the Opposition and represented the constituency for Lefaga & Falese'ela for over thirty years. He was a founding member of the Human Rights Protection Party.
