Roosevelt Township was named for Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President of the United States. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.4 square miles (94.2 km), of which 31.1 square miles (80.6 km) is land and 5.2 square miles (13.6 km) (14.41%) is water.
