''Room 93'' is the debut extended play (EP) by American singer and songwriter Halsey (singer), Halsey. It was released on October 27, 2014 by Astralwerks. The project was re-released digitally on March 9, 2015, including a new version of its main single "Ghost (Halsey song), Ghost"; this new version was later also included on the singer's debut full-length studio album ''Badlands (Halsey album), Badlands'' (2015). The sound of the EP is rooted on the electropop music genre. A digital remix version of the EP, featuring three remixes for the songs "Hurricane (Halsey song), Hurricane", "Ghost" and "Trouble" was released on March 3, 2015. Along with the remix EP, a "One Mic, One Take" EP was released on the same date. Ashley Nicolette Frangipane ( ; born September 29, 1994), known professionally as Halsey ( ), is an American singer and songwriter. She was born and raised in New Jersey. Gaining attention from self-released music on social media platforms, she was signed by Astralwerks in 2014 and released her debut EP, '' Room 93'', later that year. She released her debut studio album, ''Badlands'', in 2015. The album was later certified Double Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), as were its tracks " Colors" and "Gasoline".
