Ronny Levy
Ronny Levy ( he, רוני לוי; also spelled Roni; born 14 November 1966) is an Israeli football manager, and a former international football player. Levy played as a defensive midfielder and won championships with both teams Bnei Yehuda and Maccabi Haifa. Playing career Levy started his career as a striker in the youth teams of Maccabi Netanya. He was promoted to the first team in 1985. After five seasons, he was loaned to Bnei Yehuda where he won his first championship title. After returning to Maccabi Netanya, Levy transferred to Maccabi Haifa in 1992 where he was positioned as a defender. After a few games, his role was changed to defensive midfielder, the position he would occupy until the end of his playing career. He retired from playing in 1997 due to a serious injury of his knee. Netanya
Netanya (also known as Natanya, he, נְתַנְיָה) is a city in the Northern Central District of Israel, and is the capital of the surrounding Sharon plain. The Israel Toto Cup ( he, גביע הטוטו, ''Gvia Ha'Toto'') is an association football tournament that features clubs in the two highest divisions in Israel: the Israeli Premier League ( Ligat Ha'Al), and the second division Liga Leumit. 1999–2000 Liga Leumit
The 1999–2000 Liga Leumit season was the first in which Liga Leumit was Israeli football's second tier, following the establishment of the Israeli Premier League in the summer of 1999. Due to the ongoing restructuring, the league had only 10 clubs (expanded to 12 the next season as three clubs were relegated from the Premier League and only one promoted). Maccabi Jaffa started the season in Liga Leumit, but a failure to have their budget approved by the Israel Football Association led to them being replaced by Bnei Sakhnin (who had finished 9th the previous season and had been relegated to the third tier) soon after the season started, with Maccabi Jaffa dropping into Liga Alef, the fourth tier.
