Ronnie Wong
Ronnie Wong Man-chiu, JP (, born 3 April 1952) is a Hong Kong politician, businessman and former Olympic swimmer. Biography Wong was born into a wealthy shipping family. His father founded Chung Wah Shipbuilding & Engineering Company. He graduated from the La Salle College and the Armstrong State University. He also obtained a MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology. Wong was a member of the Hong Kong Basic Law Consultative Committee (BLCC). He joined the business and professional group of the BLCC but later split with it on the concept of the electoral methods of the future Chief Executive and the Legislative Council after 1997 and joined the pro-Beijing New Hong Kong Alliance which put forward an ultra-conservative proposal and later became chairman of the alliance. The Democratic Party (DP) is a centre-left liberal political party in Hong Kong. Peter Wong Man-kong (; 9 January 1949 – 11 March 2019) was a politician and businessman from Hong Kong. Business career Peter Wong and his younger brother Ronnie were born to , who founded Chung Wah Shipbuilding & Engineering Company. After Peter's graduation from University of California, Berkeley in 1971, he returned to Hong Kong in 1972 to help run the company. Wong's businesses operated projects in Shenzhen and Dongguan. Wong also served as independent director of various business, including MGM China, New Times Energy, Sino Hotels, and Sun Hung Kai & Company, as well as chairman of several firms, among them MK Corporation, North West Development, Culture Resources Development, Silk Road Hotel Management, and Silk Road Travel Management. Southern District Council is the district council for the Southern District in Hong Kong. It is one of 18 such councils. The Southern District Council currently consists of 17 members, of which the district is divided into 17 constituencies, electing a total of 17 members. Ambrose Cheung Wing-sum, BBS, JP (; born 10 January 1951) is a businessman, solicitor and is a former member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong in 1998–2000 for the Urban Council constituency and incumbent Sham Shui Po District Council ( Mei Foo North constituency) from 1982 to 2019 and chairman of the Sham Shui Po District Council between 2016 and 2019.
