Ronnie McAda
Ronnie McAda (born December 6, 1973) is a former American football quarterback for the United States Military Academy. He was drafted with the final pick of the 1997 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers, thus earning the distinction of being Mr. Irrelevant. In his senior season, he led Army past Navy and to the Independence Bowl. He was the last player drafted in the National Football League from the U.S. Military Academy until Caleb Campbell was drafted in the 2008 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions. High school career As a senior, McAda set a school record for passing yards. That year, he was named the offensive MVP of the district as a senior at Mesquite High School in Mesquite, Texas. Mesquite High School (MHS) is a public high school in Mesquite, Texas, United States. It is part of the Mesquite Independent School District. It participates in the University Interscholastic League 6A division. History In the March 1901, the Mesquite Independent School District was incorporated at the behest of the citizens of Mesquite Texas to serve the primary and secondary educational needs of the city. The first school was established at the current site of MHS in 1902 with an enrollment of approximately 200 students. A new high school was built on the property in June 1923. Total offense (or total offence) is a gridiron football statistic representing the total number of yards rushing and yards passing by a team or player. Total offense differs from yards from scrimmage, which gives credit for passing yardage to the person receiving the football rather than the person throwing the football. In the game of football, progress is measured by advancing the football towards the opposing team's goal line. The team on offense can make progress during the play by advancing the ball from the line of scrimmage. When the offensive team advances the ball by rushing the football, the player who carries the ball is given credit for the net gain, measured in rushing yards.
