Ronnie Leahy
Ronald Leahy (born 4 October 1947 in Glasgow) is a Scottish keyboard player best known for his work with Jack Bruce, Jon Anderson, Steve Howe on his second solo album and Nazareth (1998–2002, when Leahy retired from touring). He first gained recognition as keyboardist in the second line-up of Scottish band Stone the Crows. He also played in White Trash with whom he published four singles in 1969. This band was formed by Fraser Watson on guitar, Ian McMillan on bass and vocals, Ronnie Leahy on keyboards and drummer Timi Donald. He also played with Tandoori Cassette, a short-lived rock band formed by Barriemore Barlow after leaving Jethro Tull in 1980, with Zal Cleminson of Nazareth on guitar and Charlie Tumahai on bass. And then he went on tour with Jon Anderson in Europe and also recorded '' Song of Seven'' the same year, and then in 1982 after he also played on Anderson's ''Animation'' album. The Dukes (British Band)
The Dukes were a British band formed in the late 1970s. The members included singer Miller Anderson, guitarist Jimmy McCulloch, Ronnie Leahy and bassist Charles Tumahai. They toured supporting Wishbone Ash and recorded one album. The band broke up soon after McCulloch died of an overdose. The Dukes (or the group of musicians that would become The Dukes) also recorded demos with Mick Taylor in 1976. They went on to be backing band for Donovan on a world tour with Yes. Boogaloo (Nazareth Album)
''Boogaloo'' is the twentieth studio album by the Scottish hard rock band Nazareth, released in August 1998. It was produced by Mike Ging. It was the last studio recording to feature drummer and founding member Darrell Sweet before his death in 1999. The album also features guest performances by bassist Pete Agnew's son Lee, who later replaced Sweet as the band's drummer. The album was recorded at the Parkgate studios, Catsfield in East Sussex in 1997. 11 of the 12 tracks were mixed in early 1998, with horns and guitar overdubs added. During the original recording, the Hale-Bopp comet was clearly visible. Original versions of some tracks (as mixed in 1997), including one that didn't make the 1998 remix, were included in the Loud And Proud box set. The character on the album artwork is known as 'Boogaloo'. ''Animation'' is the third solo album by Jon Anderson, a founder-member and former lead singer of Yes. It was released in May 1982. Overview ''Animation'' was recorded during a busy time for Anderson when he was collaborating with Vangelis and Mike Oldfield and exploring new age and electropop. As with the previous album '' Song of Seven'', several well-known musicians were involved in ''Animation'', including Simon Phillips, David Sancious, Jack Bruce and Morris Pert. The album was produced by producer Neil Kernon who had worked with acts such as Daryl Hall and John Oates and was released on vinyl but no CD version was published until 2006, when a limited edition CD re-release of the album with two bonus tracks was issued by Opio Media. Unfortunately the CD was not made from the original masters but from a worn copy of the vinyl, which led to complaints from purchasers. Jack Bruce
John Symon Asher Bruce (14 May 1943 – 25 October 2014) was a Scottish bassist, singer-songwriter, musician and composer. He gained popularity as the primary lead vocalist and bassist of British rock band Cream. After the group disbanded in 1968, he pursued a solo career and also played with several bands. In the early 1960s Bruce joined the Graham Bond Organisation (GBO), where he met his future bandmate Ginger Baker. After leaving the band, he joined with John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, where he met Eric Clapton, who also became his future bandmate. His time with the band was brief. In 1966, he formed Cream with lead guitarist Clapton and drummer Baker; he co-wrote many of their songs (including " Sunshine of Your Love", " White Room" and "I Feel Free") with poet/lyricist Pete Brown.
