Ronnie Camacho
Ronaldo Camacho Durán (born 26 October 1935) is a retired Mexican professional baseball first baseman and manager. Camacho played in the Mexican League, the highest level of professional baseball in Mexico, the Mexican Pacific League and in the minor leagues. He had a brief career as politician in the eighties as municipal president of his hometown. Career Camacho was born on 26 October 1935 in Empalme, Sonora, Mexico. He started his professional career in 1953 playing for the Águilas de Mexicali in the Mexican winter league. He also played minor league baseball with the Fresno Cardinals from 1953 to 1955. In 1956, Camacho returned to Mexico and signed with the Tecolotes de Nuevo Laredo of the Mexican League. Camacho played for the Tecolotes from 1956 to 1959, then joined the Pericos de Puebla where he stayed until 1969. Pericos De Puebla
The Pericos de Puebla (English: "Puebla Parrots") are a professional baseball team in the Mexican League based in Puebla, Mexico. History The state of Puebla came upon baseball in the early 1920s when returning Poblanos that had come from military service who were based in the north of Mexico brought back with them this new sport which they share with the locals. Which the natives practice in their spare time spurning up numerous of amateurs baseball teams around the state. In 1922, General Andrés Zarzosa Verástegui founded an amateur baseball club Almazán de Puebla All former Puebla baseball clubs who went down to Mexico City to play exhibition games against the amateurs clubs from the state. In 1924 General Juan Andrew Almazán now owner of the club relocated in Mexico City. No one took charge of the club and so it was forgotten. The Sultanes de Monterrey ( en, Monterrey Sultans) are a professional baseball team in the Mexican League based in Monterrey, Mexico. They compete in the Northern Division. The team also joined the Mexican Pacific League for the 2019–20 season following the conclusion of the Mexican League season, making them the only team to participate in both the summer and winter leagues in Mexico. Héctor "El Niño" Espino (6 June 1939 – 7 September 1997) was a Mexican professional outfielder, first baseman and manager. He has been called "The Mexican Babe Ruth". Born in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Espino he played from 1960 through 1984 in both the Mexican summer league and the Mexican winter league. After amassing 484 career home runs, he is recognized as the all-time minor-league home run king. 481 of those homers came in Mexico. The Rieleros de Aguascalientes (English: Aguascalientes Railroaders) are a professional baseball team in the Mexican League based in Aguascalientes, Mexico. History Baseball arrived in Aguascalientes in hand with the railroad at the beginning of the 20th century. A group of Mexican and American railroad workers on the Mexican Central Railway held a baseball game in March 1902. The teams, the Aguascalientes Mexicans and American Railways, played the first game in the state on the railroad's land. In 1975, the Rieleros were founded by Raul Medina Reyes in partnership with Don Pedro Barbosa and other local entrepreneurs. Funds were raised through the issue of shares.
