Ronda Del Mig
Ronda del Mig is an expressway that runs through the city of Barcelona through the interior of the city, unlike the Ronda del Litoral and the Ronda de Dalt, which runs along the periphery. It was originally called the "Primer Cinturó de Ronda". It was initially planned in the Barcelona link plan of 1907, the work of the urban planner Léon Jaussely, although its execution, with important modifications, has been extended almost all the twentieth century. In the planning of the city council in the decade of 1970, its continuity was anticipated from the Guinardó, where it finishes at the moment, until the sea, happening through the Sagrera and the present Rambla de Prim. The B-10, also known as ''Ronda Litoral'' (, ; English: Coastal Ring Road), is a freeway in Catalonia, Spain partially encircling Barcelona passing through the eastern side of the city. It starts at Nus de la Trinitat interchange in northern Barcelona and runs along the entire length of the Besòs River and the city's coastline south to Nus del Llobregat interchange in Barcelona's southern suburbs, where it becomes the Autovía A-2. Ronda de Dalt (common name) or B-20 motorway is a ring road or beltway within Barcelona and other parts of its metropolitan area, running from l'Hospitalet de Llobregat, to Nus de la Trinitat in the Sant Andreu district of Barcelona. Léon Jaussely
Léon Jaussely (9 January 1875 – 28 December 1932) was a French architect and urban planner. Born in Toulouse, Jaussely studied at the local fine arts school, then to the École des Beaux-Arts in the ateliers of Honoré Daumet and Pierre Esquié. Jaussely took the Prix de Rome for architecture in 1903, and would eventually run his own atelier at the school. Jaussely took the prestigious Prix Chaudesaigues. As a young graduate he was the winner, among five entrants, of the city plan for the expansion of Barcelona. The Plan Jaussely was officially adopted in 1907 and although never completed, it guided the development of the city for decades. Jaussely was also the chief planner of the 1925 International Exhibition of Hydropower and Tourism in Grenoble.
