Autovía B-10
The B-10, also known as ''Ronda Litoral'' (, ; English: Coastal Ring Road), is a freeway in Catalonia, Spain partially encircling Barcelona passing through the eastern side of the city. It starts at Nus de la Trinitat interchange in northern Barcelona and runs along the entire length of the Besòs River and the city's coastline south to Nus del Llobregat interchange in Barcelona's southern suburbs, where it becomes the Autovía A-2. Both north and south end interchanges link the freeway to the B-20 or ''Ronda de Dalt'', which encircles Barcelona passing through the western side, jointly forming a beltway commonly referred to as the ''rondes'' that surrounds the city. The freeway features a mix of below-grade, at-grade and covered tunnel sections, mainly as it passes through central Barcelona, where it is only two lanes in each direction while the other sections are three lanes. Traffic congestion is a condition in transport that is characterized by slower speeds, longer trip times, and increased vehicular queueing. Traffic congestion on urban road networks has increased substantially since the 1950s. When traffic demand is great enough that the interaction between vehicles slows the speed of the traffic stream, this results in some congestion. El Poblenou (; ) is an extensive neighborhood of Barcelona ( Sant Martí district) that borders the Mediterranean Sea to the south, Sant Adrià del Besòs to the east, Parc de la Ciutadella in Ciutat Vella to the west, and Sant Andreu to the north. In the past the neighborhood was a town entirely separated from Barcelona. Diagonal Mar i el Front Marítim del Poblenou is a neighborhood in the Sant Martí district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The area between the seafront, Sant Adrià de Besòs and the Besòs river was previously made up of slums and poor areas surrounding the neighbourhoods of La Mina, El Maresme and Poblenou. Under the new name Diagonal Mar, in reference to its proximity to the sea and Avinguda Diagonal, renovation started taking place in the late 1990s. Carretera Nacional N-II
N-II was the former name for the Route Nacional from Madrid to Barcelona and France. According to the new Spanish roads nomenclature, the sections which have been already enhanced and upgraded to ''autovía'' have been recently renamed to A-2, whereas the sections still not upgraded (Zaragoza-Fraga and Barcelona- French border sections) keep the old name N-II. At the French border, near La Jonquera, the route links to the French N9. Most of the traffic formerly carried by the road now takes the A-7 and A-2 ''autovía''. The road is still in the process of being fully dualled but already by-passes the major towns of Girona and Figueres. Plaça de les Glòries Catalanes (), most often shortened to Glòries, is a large square in Barcelona, first designed by Ildefons Cerdà to serve as the city centre in his original urban plan (''Pla Cerdà''), but nowadays relegated to quite a secondary position.
