Ronan Crowley
Ronan Crowley (born 1990) is an Irish hurler who plays as a left corner-forward for the Lancashire senior team. Born in Bandon, County Cork, Crowley first played competitive hurling and Gaelic football at St. Brogan's College. He simultaneously came to prominence at juvenile and underage levels with the Bandon club, winning divisional championship medals in the minor and under-21 grades. Crowley subsequently enjoyed success with the Bandon adult team, winning an intermediate championship medal in 2011 and a premier intermediate championship medal in 2016. He currently plays with St. Peter's in Manchester. Crowley made his debut on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he was selected for the Cork minor team. He enjoyed one championship season with the minor team, culminating with the winning of a Munster medal. He subsequently joined the Cork intermediate team, winning an All-Ireland medal in 2014. Bandon GAA
Bandon GAA is a Gaelic football and Hurling club based in Bandon in County Cork, Republic of Ireland. The club is affiliated with Carbery division of Cork. In 2007, Bandon won the West Cork Junior A Football Championship, beating Muintir Bhaire in the final. The club's hurling team meanwhile were runners-up in the Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship. They beat Kanturk in the semi-final but were overcome by Fr. O'Neill's in the final. In 2016 Bandon won the Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship beating Fermoy in the final. National Hurling League
The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system. The league has 35 teams divided into six divisions, with either five or six teams in each division. Promotion and relegation between these divisions is a central feature of the league. Although primarily a competition for Irish teams, teams from England – currently Lancashire GAA, Lancashire, London GAA, London and Warwickshire GAA, Warwickshire – also take part, while in the past New York GAA, New York also fielded a team for the latter stages of the league. 2018 National Hurling League
The 2018 National Hurling League was the 87th season of the National Hurling League for county teams. Wexford finished top of Division 1B in 2017 and were promoted to Division 1A for 2018. Galway finished second in Division 1B in 2017 and so missed out on promotion, even though they subsequently won the Division 1 league final. Cavan re-entered the National Hurling League in Division 3B, having previously withdrawn. Lancashire also entered in Division 3B for the first time. The 2008 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 78th staging of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. The championship began on 29 March 2008 and ended on 7 September 2008. Tipperary entered the championship as the defending champions in search of a third successive title, however, they were beaten by Kilkenny in the All-Ireland semi-final. On 7 September 2008 Kilkenny won the championship following a 3-6 to 0-13 defeat of Galway in a replay of the All-Ireland final. Munster Intermediate Hurling Championship
The Munster Hurling Intermediate Championship is an annual hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1961 for the strong hurling teams in the province of Munster in Ireland. In some cases the teams consist of players who are not on the senior squads for their county (thus in effect, they are a second team), or in others of players who are from junior or intermediate clubs. The competition was established to prevent the stronger counties from dominating the Munster Junior Hurling Championship. The series of games are played during the summer months with the Munster final currently being played in July. The prize for the winning team is the Sweet Afton Cup. The championship has always been played on a straight knockout basis whereby once a team loses they are eliminated from the series. The 2014 All-Ireland Intermediate Hurling Championship was the 31st staging of the All-Ireland hurling championship for players in the intermediate grade since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1961.
