''Ronan'' is the self-titled debut solo album by Irish singer-songwriter and Boyzone frontman, Ronan Keating. It was released by Polydor Records on 31 July 2000, and became a commercial success. The album produced four UK and Irish top-ten singles: "When You Say Nothing at All", originally recorded for the soundtrack of the 1999 film ''Notting Hill'', "Life Is a Rollercoaster", "The Way You Make Me Feel", and " Lovin' Each Day", the latter of which was featured on the re-release edition of the album, and later on Keating's second album, ''Destination''. Reception The album was given several negative reviews; however, it sold over 750,000 copies and became one of the top selling albums of the year in the United Kingdom. Ronan Keating
Ronan Patrick John Keating (born 3 March 1977) is an Irish singer. He debuted in 1993 alongside Keith Duffy, Michael Graham, Shane Lynch, and Stephen Gately, as the co-lead singer (with Gately) of Irish pop group Boyzone. His solo career started in 1999 and he has recorded eleven albums. He gained worldwide attention when his single "When You Say Nothing at All" was featured in the film ''Notting Hill'' and reached number one in several countries. Keating currently hosts a breakfast show on Magic Radio. As a solo artist, Keating has sold over 20 million records worldwide alongside the 25 million records with Boyzone, and in Australia, he is best known as a judge on '' All Together Now'' and ''The X Factor'' from 2010 until 2014 and a coach on ''The Voice'' in 2016. "Lovin' Each Day" is the fourth and final single released from Irish singer-songwriter Ronan Keating's debut solo album, '' Ronan'' (2000). The song was written by Gregg Alexander and Rick Nowels and was included only on the re-release of the album before appearing on Keating's second album, ''Destination'' (2002). The single was released on 9 April 2001 in Australia and on 16 April in Ireland and the United Kingdom. Commercially, "Lovin' Each Day" peaked at number one in Scotland, number two on the UK Singles Chart, and entered the top 10 in Canada, Denmark, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, and Portugal. It was Keating's first song to appear on a US ''Billboard'' chart, peaking at number 32 on the Adult Top 40. Sales of the song increased when it was used as the theme for Sky Sports' ''Ford Super Sunday'' coverage in 2001, and the song soon received a silver certification from the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) for shipping over 200,000 copies. Paul Lester Overstreet (born March 17, 1955) is an American country music singer and songwriter. He recorded 10 studio albums between 1982 and 2005, and charted 16 singles on the ''Billboard (magazine), Billboard'' country charts, including two No. 1 hits. Allen Shamblin is a country music songwriter who was born in Tennessee, and was brought up in Huffman, Texas. After graduating from Sam Houston State University he worked in Austin as a real estate appraiser. In 1987, he quit his job and moved to Nashville to pursue a career as a songwriter. He supported himself by parking cars and working in a warehouse. During live shows he tells stories about his parents sending him money so he could survive. Michael Barry Reid (born May 24, 1947) is an American country music artist, composer, and former American football player. Born and raised in Altoona, Pennsylvania, United States, Reid attended college at and graduated from the Pennsylvania State University, where he played defensive lineman for the Penn State Nittany Lions football team. He then spent five seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals in the National Football League, earning trips to the Pro Bowl after the 1972 and 1973 seasons, before retiring after the 1974 season. The Official Albums Chart is a list of albums ranked by physical and digital sales and (from March 2015) audio streaming in the United Kingdom. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on UKChartsPlus as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders. However, even though number 100 was classed as a hit album (as in the case of The Guinness Book of British Hit Albums) in the 1980s until January 1989, since the compilations were removed this definition was changed to Top 75 with follow-up books such as The Virgin Book of British Hit Albums book only including this data.
