Ronald C. Green
Ronald Green is a former city controller of Houston and a former member of the Houston City Council. Ronald C. Green was elected as Houston’s city controller on December 12, 2009 and reelected on November 8, 2011 and again in November 2013 (under the terms of Houston's City Charter, he is term limited after 2015). A native Houstonian and active community partner, he was first elected to public office as a member of City Council, At-Large Position Four, on December 6, 2003. A 1988 graduate of the Houston independent school District's High School for Health Professions, Green earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston, as well as a law degree from Texas Southern University's Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Annise Parker
Annise Danette Parker (born May 17, 1956) is an American politician who served as the 61st Mayor of Houston, Texas, from 2010 until 2016. She also served as an at-large member of the Houston City Council from 1998 to 2003 and city controller from 2004 to 2010. The Houston City Council is a city council for the city of Houston in the U.S. state of Texas. Currently, there are sixteen members, 11 elected from council districts and five at-large. The members of the Council are elected every four years, with the most recent election being held in 2019 and the next being held in 2023 (all positions, along with that of the Mayor who is elected separately, are up for re-election at the same time). Council Members are limited to two terms of four years. Under the current city charter, if the population in the city limits went past 2.1 million residents, the previous nine-member city council districts would be expanded with the addition of two city council districts.
