Ron Worley
Ron Worley is a former Republican member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing the 30th district. He served from 2007 through 2013, having been defeated in the 2012 Republican primary by Rep. Lance Kinzer of Olathe, after Kinzer and Worley were put in the same district after re-districting. Kinzer then subsequently retired in 2014, endorsing Randy Powell as his successor. Worley challenged Powell for his old seat in the primary, but was subsequently defeated. Prior to being elected, Worley worked for 14 years as a building official in Lenexa, and has served in the U.S. Air Force. Lance Kinzer
Lance Kinzer (born April 18, 1970) is an American politician served as the Kansas State Representative for the 30th district from 2013 to 2015. A member of the Republican Party, he previously represented the 14th district from 2004 until redistricting. Biography Kinzer, who attended Wheaton College and the University of Kansas School of Law, was a partner in the law firm Schlagel & Kinzer, LLC. Prior to his election to the Kansas House of Representatives, he chaired the Olathe Republican Party (2001–2004) and was regional director of Sam Brownback's 2004 U.S. Senate campaign. Kinzer was appointed to his first term following Dan Williams's resignation in District 14 and has served since July 27, 2004. Olathe ( ) is the county seat of Johnson County, Kansas, United States. It is the fourth-most populous city in both the Kansas City metropolitan area and the state of Kansas, with a 2020 population of 141,290. History 19th century Olathe was founded by John T. Barton in the spring of 1857. He rode to the center of Johnson County, and staked two quarter sections of land as the town site. Randy Powell (politician)
Randy Powell is an American politician who served as a Republican member of the Kansas House of Representatives from 2015 to 2018. He represented the 30th District and lived in Olathe, Kansas. Powell was elected in 2014, after incumbent Republican Lance Kinzer declined to run for re-election. The primary election pitted Powell against Ron Worley, a former representative for the 30th district who had lost a primary to Kinzer in 2012. Worley was defeated once again, with Powell triumphing with 55% of the primary election vote. The general election was decided by a similar margin, with Powell defeating Democrat Liz Dickinson 57% to 43%. The 2016 results were similar, with Powell winning the primary with 60% of the vote and beating Democrat Darla Graham in the general, 52% to 48%. Lenexa is a city in Johnson County, Kansas, United States. It is one of four principal cities of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area and 9th most populated city of Kansas.
