Ron J. Volesky
Ron J. Volesky (born July 13, 1954) is an American lawyer, who served 16 years in the South Dakota Senate, first as a member of the Republican Party before switching to the Democratic Party. Early life and education Volesky was born in Bullhead, South Dakota on the Standing Rock Indian ReservatioVolesky graduated from Harvard University in 1976 with a degree in Government and International Relations and was a finalist for the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship While at Harvard, Volesky played varsity basketball and was coached by Boston Celtics Hall of Famer Tom "Satch" Sanders He would later earn a master's degree from South Dakota State University and a law degree from University of South Dakota.
