Ronald Rex Green (born 3 October 1956) is a former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper in the Football League. Career Born in Birmingham, England, Green played for Football League teams including two spells at Walsall and Shrewsbury, and spells with Bristol Rovers, Scunthorpe, Wimbledon and Colchester. Green also appeared for a number of non-league teams. Bromsgrove is a town in Worcestershire, England, about northeast of Worcester and southwest of Birmingham city centre. Bob Paisley's Liverpool retained their league championship trophy after fighting off a determined challenge by Dave Sexton's Manchester United. Nottingham Forest failed to make a sustained title challenge but compensated for this by retaining the European Cup. The Football League Fourth Division was the fourth-highest division in the English football league system from the 1958–59 season until the creation of the Premier League prior to the 1992–93 season. Whilst the division disappeared in name in 1992, the 4th tier of English football continued as the Football League Third Division, and later became known as Football League Two. The English Football League (EFL) is a league of professional football clubs from England and Wales. Founded in 1888 as the Football League, the league is the oldest such competition in the world.
