Romosinuano
The Romosinuano is a breed of cattle native to Colombia. Its name derives from the fact that the breed is polled (''romo'') and that it originated from the Sinú River valley (''sinuano''). Romosinunao are a criollo type, developed from the horned '' Costeño con Cuernos'' breed of Spanish origin. It is unclear whether the polled nature of the Romosinuano was due to natural mutation or to cross-breeding with European types such as the Angus or Red Poll. Romosinuano are beef cattle, and are noted for their docile temperament and adaptation to subtropical climates. Cattle
Cattle (''Bos taurus'') are large, domesticated, cloven-hooved, herbivores. They are a prominent modern member of the subfamily Bovinae and the most widespread species of the genus ''Bos''. Polled Livestock
Polled livestock are livestock without horns in species which are normally horned. The term refers to both breeds and strains that are naturally polled through selective breeding and also to naturally horned animals that have been disbudded. Natural polling occurs in cattle, yaks, water buffalo, and goats, and in these animals it affects both sexes equally; in sheep, by contrast, both sexes may be horned, both polled, or only the females polled. Sinú River
Sinú River (), is a river in northwestern Colombia that flows mostly through the Córdoba Department and into the Caribbean. The river is the third most important river after the Magdalena River and the Cauca River in the Caribbean Region. It is born in the Antioquia Department, flowing south to north for until flowing into the Caribbean Sea. The river is navigable for only half of its length, starting in Montería, the largest city in its basin. Also, this river is the main tourist attraction of Montería decorated with the first avenue when it passes by Montería. Ecology The river flows through the Sinú Valley dry forests ecoregion. Aberdeen Angus
The Aberdeen Angus, sometimes simply Angus, is a Scottish breed of small beef cattle. It derives from cattle native to the counties of Aberdeen, Banff, Kincardine and Angus in north-eastern Scotland. In 2018 the breed accounted for over 17% of the UK beef industry. The Angus is naturally polled and solid black or red, although the udder may be white. Red Poll
The Red Poll is a dual-purpose breed of cattle developed in England in the latter half of the 19th century. The Red Poll is a cross of the Norfolk Red beef cattle and Suffolk Dun dairy cattle breeds. Description and uses The cattle are red, preferably deep red with white only on the tail switch and udder. They are naturally polled (without horns). Red Poll cattle are mainly used as beef suckler cows, although a few dairy herds are found in England, as well as in the United States in the state of Texas.
