Romeo Rivera
Romeo Rivera (born September 27, 1946) is a Filipino actor. He appeared in more than 95 movies and television shows. Career In 1963, Sampaguita Pictures introduced him with a bunch of young teenage stars which they called the Sampaguita-Vera-Perez All Stars: Rosemarie Sonora, Blanca Gomez, Gina Pareño, Lito Legaspi, Dindo Fernando, and Pepito Rodriguez, among others. The movies they made were ''Mga Batang Artista'' (1964), ''Mga Batang Bakasyonista'' (1964), ''Mga Batang Iskwater'' (1964), and ''Mga Batang Turista'' (1965), among others. He received a nomination for FAMAS Award Best Supporting Actor 1966 in ''Paalam sa Kahapon''. He played as Mr. Crisford in 1995 family-drama film '' Sarah... Sampaguita Pictures was a Philippine film production company. It was named for the Philippine national flower, sampaguita. Though no longer functioning, the company's Sampaguita Compound remains in Quezon City. History Sampaguita Pictures was established in the last quarter of 1937. Its first feature-length film was ''Bituing Marikit'', starring Elsa Oria and Rogelio dela Rosa. It was a box-office hit. The company continued to make films in the action, musical, horror and suspense genres. Before World War II began, and the Japanese occupied the Philippines, several Sampaguita films enjoyed box office success in the region. Some of them employed the famous tandem of Carmen Rosales and Rogelio dela Rosa, like ''Panambitan'', ''Pagsuyo'', ''Jazmin'' and many more. ''Magpakailanman'' ( en, Forevermore) is a Philippine television drama anthology show broadcast by GMA Network. Hosted by Mel Tiangco, it premiered on December 2, 2002. The show concluded on December 27, 2007. It was replaced by the '' E.S.P.'' in its timeslot. The show returned on November 17, 2012 on the network's Sabado Star Power sa Gabi line up.
