Romeo Chidozie Okwara (born June 17, 1995) is an American football defensive end for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Notre Dame and signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2016. Professional career New York Giants Okwara signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2016. Okwara made his first start replacing Jason Pierre-Paul in a 10-7 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on December 11, 2016. On October 17, 2017, Okwara was placed on injured reserve with a knee sprain. Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. Julian Okwara
Julian Okwara (born December 27, 1997) is an English born Nigerian gridiron football outside linebacker for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Notre Dame and was drafted by the Lions in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Early years Okwara was born in London while his mother was visiting family, but raised in Nigeria. Okwara lived in Lagos and was raised in Lekki before moving to the United States when he was in the third grade. He attended Ardrey Kell High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. He committed to the University of Notre Dame to play college football. College career As a true freshman at Notre Dame in 2016, he played in 11 games, recording four tackles. As a sophomore in 2017, he played in 12 of 13 games, recording 17 tackles, 2.5 sacks and an interception. As a junior in 2018, he started 12 of 13 games, finishing with 38 tackles and eight sacks. Kirk Daniel Cousins (born August 19, 1988) is an American football quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). Ryan Timothy Tannehill III (born July 27, 1988) is an American football quarterback for the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Texas A&M, where he was a wide receiver until his junior year, and was drafted eighth overall by the Miami Dolphins in the 2012 NFL Draft. Tannehill spent his first seven seasons as the Dolphins' primary starter before being traded to the Titans in 2019.
