Romell Quioto
Romell Samir Quioto Robinson (born 9 August 1991), nicknamed El Romántico (The Romantic), is a Honduran professional footballer who plays as a forward for Major League Soccer club CF Montréal and captains the Honduras national team. Club career C.D.S. Vida Quioto came up through the youth ranks of Unión Ájax before being sold to Liga Nacional side C.D.S. VIda. Quioto made his debut for Vida in the Liga Nacional during the 2010 Clausura season and scored his first goal 6 March 2010 in a 4–1 victory over Real Juventud. For the 2012–13 season, he was loaned out to Polish Ekstraklasa side Wisła Kraków. He had 2 assists in his debut, a 5–0 win against Luboński 1943 in the Polish Cup Quioto stepped on a players leg on 31 August 2012 and received a five-game suspension. The Honduras national under-23 football team represents Honduras in international football competitions (finals stage and qualifiers) in Olympic Games and Pan American Games. The 2016 Honduran Supercup was a match arranged by the Honduran Liga Nacional which took place on 8 July 2016 between C.D. Honduras Progreso, winners of the 2015–16 Liga Nacional (Apertura tournament) and Club Deportivo Olimpia, winners of the 2015 Honduran Cup. This was the first Honduran Supercup since 1999 after the 2015 edition was abandoned with no disclosed reason. Qualified teams Background C.D. Honduras Progreso qualified as reigning champions of the 2015–16 Honduran Liga Nacional (Apertura); meanwhile Club Deportivo Olimpia entered as the 2015 Honduran Cup winners. The 2015 Honduran Cup was the 10th staging of the Honduran Cup and the first edition since 1998. Club Deportivo Olimpia are the defending champions. The 2015 Honduran Cup is referred to as the Copa Presidente de Honduras for sponsorship reasons. The cup is a creation of the Honduran government funded by money allocated to national security fund. Its purpose is to support the growth of sport to detract the youth from vices and to promote national tourism for rural towns. The cup was contested by 64 teams from the top 3 divisions of the country. The CONCACAF Champions League, known officially as the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League for sponsorship reasons, is an annual continental club football competition organized by CONCACAF.
