Edward Rombo
Edward Rombo is a Kenyan former rugby union and rugby league footballer. He was one of the few Kenya rugby players to turn professional, when he moved to Leeds Rhinos in 1990. Playing career Rombo was born in 1967 in Nairobi, Kenya. He started playing rugby union when he moved to Nairobi School for secondary school education, where he captained the 1986 school side. During his school years he also played for Barclays RFC, which won the Kenya Cup in 1987. After leaving school, he enrolled in the University of Nairobi, where he joined Mean Machine RFC. On a trip to Singapore with the Watembezi Pacesetters VII he was awarded the player of the tournament, and soon after was signed by English rugby league club Leeds Rhinos, Leeds. He also went on to play for Dewsbury Rams, Dewsbury and Featherstone Rovers. Eva Elin Rombo, née Karlsson (born 29 January 1976), is a Swedish operatic soprano. In November 2013 she was named '' Hovsångerska''. Biography Rombo grew up in a musical family in Katrineholm and studied at the esthetics program at in Norrköping. She then continued her education in Canada at Brandon University, and at Operahögskolan i Stockholm (University College of Opera) where she graduated in 2003. During her studies, she made her stage debut at the Royal Swedish Opera (Kungliga Operan) in Stockholm as Christa in Janáčeks ''The Makropulos Affair''. After graduation, she had the female lead role as Ingrid in 's 2004 opera after Selma Lagerlöf's novel '' The Tale of a Manor'' (''En herrgårdssägen'') at , and as Euridice in Offenbach's ''Orpheus in the Underworld'' at the Folkoperan. Rombo is one of the seven districts of the Kilimanjaro Region of Tanzania. The district covers an area of . It is bordered to the north and east by Kenya, to the west by the Siha District and Hai District, and to the south by the Moshi Rural District. Timmelsjoch ( it, Passo del Rombo), (elevation ) is a high mountain pass that creates a link through the Ötztal Alps along the border between Austria and Italy. The Timmelsjoch connects the Ötztal valley in the Austrian state of Tyrol (state), Tyrol to the Passeier Valley in the Italian province of South Tyrol, as it bridges the saddle point between the Jochköpfl () and Wurmkogl () peaks to its northeast and southwest, respectively.
