Romanian Footballer Of The Year
The Romanian Footballer of the Year ( ro, Fotbalistul român al anului), also known as the Nicolae Dobrin Trophy ( ro, Trofeul Nicolae Dobrin), is an annual association football award given by the ''Gazeta Sporturilor'' newspaper to the Romanian player adjudged to have been the best during a calendar year. The current holder is Florin Niță, who won the award for his performances in 2021 representing Sparta Prague. It has been presented since 1966 and is currently named after Nicolae Dobrin, the first recipient of the award and one of Romania's most notable footballers. Gheorghe Hagi, the joint leading goalscorer of the national team alongside Adrian Mutu, has received the trophy a record of seven times. Gheorghe "Gică" Hagi (; born 5 February 1965) is a Romanian professional football manager and former player, who is currently the owner and manager of Liga I club Farul Constanța. Deployed as an attacking midfielder, Hagi was considered one of the best players in the world during the 1980s and '90s, and is regarded by many as the greatest Romanian footballer of all time. Alexandru Maxim
Alexandru Iulian Maxim (; born 8 July 1990) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Süper Lig club Beşiktaş, on loan from Gaziantep, and the Romania national team. Maxim recorded his professional debut for the reserve team of Espanyol in 2009, and also had a loan spell at Badalona before returning to Romania with Pandurii Târgu Jiu in 2011. Florin Andone (; born 11 April 1993) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Segunda División club Eldense. Raised in Spain from the age of 12, Andone began competing in the country's lower divisions before making his professional debut for La Liga team Córdoba in 2014. Two years later, he joined Deportivo La Coruña, and after another two years earned a move to Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion. Claudiu Keșerü
Claudiu Andrei Keșerü (; born 2 December 1986) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays mainly as a striker for Liga I club UTA Arad. After starting out at hometown side FC Oradea, he soon moved to Nantes in 2003. Over the course of nearly eleven years in France, Keșerü represented five teams and amassed Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 totals of 240 appearances and 67 goals. In 2014, he returned to his native country by signing a contract with defending champions FCSB. Denis Alibec
Denis Alibec (born 5 January 1991) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Liga I club Farul Constanța and the Romania national team. Alibec began his senior career at Farul Constanța, and at age 18 was signed by Italian club Inter Milan. He only made two Serie A appearances and was loaned out several times, before being brought back to Romania by Astra Giurgiu. He became a regular starter and goalscorer with the latter, and also aided it in winning its first national title in the 2015–16 season. Constantin Valentin Budescu (; born 19 February 1989) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or a forward for Liga I club Petrolul Ploiești. Anton Ciprian Tătărușanu (; born 9 February 1986) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for club AC Milan. Marius George Țucudean (; born 30 April 1991) is a Romanian former professional footballer who played as a striker.
