Roman Kireyev
Roman Kireyev (born 14 February 1987) is a former Kazakhstani road bicycle racer who rode for UCI ProTeam . On 22 August 2011 Astana announced his retirement from cycling after he had struggled with a back injury. The timing of this announcement caused speculation that Kireyev was forced into retirement to make way for Andrey Kashechkin and Alexander Vinokourov to compete. Before Kireyev's retirement, Astana was afoul of the UCI's rules regarding the maximum number of riders employed by a team. Petropavl
Petropavl ( kk, Петропавл, Petropavl ) or Petropavlovsk () is a city on the Ishim River in northern Kazakhstan close to the border with Russia. It is the capital of the North Kazakhstan Region. Population: 218,956. The city is also known colloquially in Kazakh as Kyzylzhar ( kk, Қызылжар, Qyzyljar, "Red Cliff"). Petropavl is about from Kokshetau, northwest of the national capital Astana along the A1, from Omsk. Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held primarily on paved roads. Road racing is the most popular professional form of bicycle racing, in terms of numbers of competitors, events and spectators. Andrey Grigorievich Kashechkin (russian: Андрей Григорьевич Кашечкин, born 21 March 1980) is a Kazakhstani road racing cyclist, who last rode for the UCI ProTour team . Biography Kashechkin was born in Kyzyl-Orda, in the former Kazakh SSR, Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic. After the junior World Championships at Valkenburg aan de Geul, Valkenburg, Kashechkin moved to Belgium, where he turned pro in 2001 with the Domo-Farm Frites team. In 2003, he moved to , and the following year to French squad . After two seasons in that team, Kashechkin joined , where he posted good results throughout the 2006 season. Kashechkin was in 8th place in the overall classification after 15 stages of the 2007 Tour de France. Alexander Nikolayevich Vinokourov ( Kazakh and russian: Александр Николаевич Винокуров; born 16 September 1973) is a Kazakhstani former professional road bicycle racer and the current general manager of UCI WorldTeam . He is of Russian origin. As a competitor, his achievements include two bronze medals at the World Championships, four stage wins in the Tour de France, four in the Vuelta a España plus the overall title in 2006, two Liège–Bastogne–Liège monuments, one Amstel Gold Race, and the gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics Men's Road Race. Vinokourov is a past national champion of Kazakhstan, and a dual-medalist at the Summer Olympics. In 2007, he received a two-year ban from cycling for blood doping. Giro Di Toscana
The Giro di Toscana is a road bicycle race held annually in Tuscany, Italy. From 2005 to 2014, the race has been organised as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. The race was not held in 2015. On 4 April 2016 it was announced that the race will return in September 2016 as a three-race challenge (similar to the Trittico Lombardo or Vuelta a Mallorca), consisting in three one-day races held consecutively in Tuscany. Each race will award points to the best placed riders, and the rider who score most points will win the overall classification of Giro della Toscana.
