Roman Karmazin
Roman Alexandrovich Karmazin (born January 2, 1973) is a Russian former professional boxer. He held the IBF Light Middleweight title. Professional career Karmazin suffered his first loss in 2002, a twelve-round decision against Javier Castillejo of Spain in Castiliejo's hometown. His only draw came early in his career in an eight-round fight against Javier Martinez in Avilés, Spain. Karmazin also has a no-contest against former title contender Jason Papillion. The 2004 bout was halted when Papillion was cut by an accidental headbutt in the fourth round. In 2004, Karmazin outworked Keith Holmes to a majority decision in an IBF title eliminator. A consistent puncher, Karmazin won the IBF Light Middleweight championship through steady work that led to a lopsided unanimous decision over Kassim Ouma. Antwun Echols
Antwun Echols (born December 4, 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee) is an American boxer who was a world middleweight contender throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s. His hometown is Davenport, Iowa. Career Echols turned professional in 1993 and in 1999 challenged IBF middleweight title holder Bernard Hopkins. Although Echols gave Hopkins a tough fight, he lost via decision. The following year he lost a rematch with Hopkins, this time losing via TKO in the 10th. In 2001 he fought a crowd-pleasing bout with Charles Brewer. Interim Championship
An interim championship is an alternate title that is awarded by the sanctioning bodies of professional boxing, and in other combat sports such as kickboxing, professional wrestling, and mixed martial arts. Occasionally, the champion of a particular weight division is temporarily unable to defend his championship because of medical, legal, or other reasons beyond the competitor's control. When this case occurs, two highly ranked contenders may fight for an interim championship of the same weight division – leading to two champions existing in the same weight division simultaneously. Kassim Ouma (born 12 December 1978) is a Ugandan professional boxer. He held the International Boxing Federation, IBF junior middleweight title from 2004 to 2005, and has challenged twice for a world middleweight title in 2006 and 2011.
