The Roman Catholic Diocese of Bielsko–Żywiec ( la, Bielscen(sis) – Żyviecen(sis)) is a diocese located in the cities of Bielsko and Żywiec in the Ecclesiastical province of Kraków in Poland. It was established as the Diocese of Bielsko–Żywiec from the Diocese of Katowice and Metropolitan Archdiocese of Kraków on 25 March 1992. In 2013 about a half of the then Catholic Church members attended church services at least once per week. Ustroń
Ustroń (german: Ustron) is a health resort town in Cieszyn Silesia, southern Poland. It is situated in the Silesian Voivodeship (since 1999), having previously been in Bielsko-Biała Voivodeship (1975–1998). It lies in the Silesian Beskids mountain range. It is the home of the Jan Jarocki Museum, which was founded in April 1986 as Museum of Metallurgy. The Rotunda of Saint Nicolas in Cieszyn is a Romanesque rotunda located in the town of Cieszyn, Poland. The structure was built in the 11th or the 12th century as a Western Christian castle chapel and stronghold ( gord) church. The stronghold was built between the 10th century and the first half of the 11th century. In the 1950s, researchers believed that the rotunda was built during the first half of the 11th century. The Co-Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, ( pl, Konkatedra Narodzenia Najświętszej Maryi Panny), also called Żywiec Cathedral, is the main Catholic religious building in the city of Żywiec, Poland, and the co-cathedral of the Diocese of Bielsko–Żywiec. In 1470 the church was built in Gothic style and became a parish. In the sixteenth century the church was extended twice with the support of the Komorowski family, once owner of Żywiec. The first expansion took place between 1515 and 1542, with the extension of the chancel and nave. On October 9, 1547, the church was consecrated by the Bishop of Kraków with the title of the "Nativity of the Virgin Mary and St. Lawrence Martyr" in honor of the Extension Promoter church, Lawrence Komorowski.
