The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Bahía Blanca (''Archidioecesis Sinus Albi'') is a Latin Metropolitan archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church with an ecclesiastical province in the eastern region of the national capital's province of Buenos Aires, central Argentina. Carmelo Juan Giaquinta (born 1930-06-22 in Buenos Aires) was an Argentine bishop, formerly the Archbishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Resistencia (province of Chaco). Giaquinta was ordained priest in Buenos Aires on 1953-04-04, at the age of 22. He was appointed auxiliary bishop of Viedma (province of Río Negro) on 1980-03-11. Six years later he was transferred to the diocese of Posadas, Misiones, and on 1993-03-22 again to Resistencia, where he exercised his ministry as Archbishop until his resignation, on 2005-04-01, as customary due to his age. Miguel Esteban Hesayne (26 December 1922 – 1 December 2019) was an Argentinian Roman Catholic prelate. He served as Bishop of the Diocese of Viedma from 1975 to 1995. He was born in Azul, Buenos Aires on 26 December 1922. He was ordained as a priest on 12 December 1948. He was appointed bishop of Viedma, Río Negro, on 5 April 1975, ordained on 4 June and installed on 8 July of the same year, at the age of 52. Hesayne was the bishop of Viedma for 20 years, until 28 June 1995, when he resigned.
