Sanctus Lino Wanok
Sanctus Lino Wanok was born 7 April 1957 at Ukuru Pamach Village, Zombo District, in the West Nile sub-region, in the Northern Region of Uganda. He became the Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lira on 9 February 2019. Priesthood He was ordained a deacon on 31 August 1986 at ''Edofe Roman Catholic Cathedral'', Arua. He was ordained priest on 27 September 1986 at Arua by Bishop Frederick Drandua. He earned a degree in canon law from the Pontifical Urban University in Rome. He was appointed bishop of the Diocese of Nebbi on 8 February 2011, by Pope Benedict XVI and ordained bishop on 30 April 2011 at Nebbi. He was appointed Bishop of the Diocese of Lira on 23 November 2018 by Pope Francis and installed as the fourth Bishop of Lira on 9 February 2019 at Lira, succeeding Bishop Giuseppe Franzelli, who had reached the mandatory retirement age of 75 years. Nebbi District
Nebbi District is a district in Northern Uganda. It is named after its main municipal, commercial and administrative centre, Nebbi, the location of the district headquarters. Location Nebbi District is bordered by Madi Okollo District to the north, Pakwach District to the east, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to the south and Zombo District to the west. Nebbi, where the district headquarters are located approximately , by road, southeast of Arua, the largest town in the sub-region. Martin Luluga (1 March 1933 – 30 July 2022) was a Ugandan Roman Catholic prelate, who served as the Bishop of the Diocese of Nebbi. He was appointed bishop of Nebbi on 2 January 1999 and he retired on 8 February 2011. Early life and priesthood Luluga was born on 1 March 1933, at Lodonga, in present-day Yumbe District in the West Nile sub-region, in the Northern Region of Uganda. Latin liturgical rites, or Western liturgical rites, are Catholic rites of public worship employed by the Latin Church, the largest particular church ''sui iuris'' of the Catholic Church, that originated in Europe where the Latin language once dominated. John Baptist Odama (born 20 July 1947) is a Ugandan Roman Catholic priest, who serves as the Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Gulu, in Uganda, since 2 January 1999. Background and priesthood Odama was born in Riki-Oluko Village, in present-day Arua District, in the West Nile sub-region, in the Northern Region of Uganda on 29 June 1947.
