The Roman Catholic Diocese of Kyiv-Zhytomyr ( la, Dioecesis Kioviensis-Zytomeriensis) is a suffragan diocese of the Latin Church of the Catholic Church in Ukraine in ecclesiastical province of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Lviv of the Latins. Its cathedral episcopal see is the St. Sophia's Cathedral, Zhytomyr. It also has, both in Kyiv: a Co-Cathedral of St. Alexander, and a former cathedral, now Church of St. Nicholas. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Kharkiv-Zaporizhzhia ( la, Dioecesis Kharkiviensis-Zaporizhiensis) is a diocese of the Latin Church of the Catholic Church in Ukraine. History The diocese was created in 2002, when territory from the dioceses of the Diocese of Kamyanets-Podilskyi, and the Diocese of Kyiv-Zhytomyr was split off and merged. Andrzej Szołdrski
Andrzej Szołdrski (c. 1583–1650) of Łodzia coat of arms was a Polish nobleman and Roman Catholic priest. Son of Stanisław Szołdrski, owner of Czempiń, and Małgorzata Manicka. He studied at Jesuit school in Poznań. According to some sources, he served as bishop of Kijów (Kiev) from February 1633 to 1635 and apostolican administrator of Kraków's diocese. Bogusław Radoszewski
Bogusław Radoszewski (c. 1577–1638) of Oksza coat of arms was a Polish noble and Roman Catholic priest. Born around 1577 at Siemkowice, he became the abbot of Order of Saint Benedict monastery Święty Krzyż on Łysa Góra, he was the Bishop of Kijów (Kyiv) from 1619 to February 1633, and afterwards Bishop of Łuck ''(Lutsk)''. Józef Wereszczyński (born 1530 in Zbaraż, died 1598) was a Polish political writer, polemicist, moralist, preacher, and bishop of Kiev. He was probably born in Zbaraż, in 1530, as the son of Andrzej of Ruthenian origin, and Anna née Jaroski (Jaroski or Jarocki). He grew up and was educated in Krasnystaw. It is not known where he obtained his doctorate in theology. Before 1577 he became a canon of Chełmno. In 1581 he became an abbot of the Benedictine monastery in Sieciechów.
