Basilica De La Merced
The Basilica de la Merced is a basilica located in Santiago, Chile. It was founded by the Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mercy, has its origin in the third temple of the Basilica of La Merced that was in this site, built in 1760, its first tower was built in 1859 and its second tower in 1885 completing the building. Maipú is a commune of Chile, located in Santiago Province, within the Santiago Metropolitan Region and forming part of the Greater Santiago conurbation. Votive Temple Of Maipú
The Votive Temple of Maipú () or Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel () is a Catholic church located in the Chilean commune of Maipú. The height of this basilica is 300 feet tall (91 Meters). Its construction was ordered by Bernardo O'Higgins in 1818 as a thanksgiving to Our Lady of Mount Carmel for the intercession for the victory of the Chilean Army in the Battle of Maipú, where the Independence of Chile was assured.
