Tadevuš Kandrusievič ( be, Тадэвуш Кандрусевіч; pl, Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz; born 3 January 1946) is a Belarusian prelate of the Catholic Church who served as Archbishop of Minsk–Mohilev from 2007 to 2021. He has been a bishop since 1989, and from 1991 to 2007 held posts in Russia. Early life and education Tadevuš Kandrusievič was born in Odelsk, Grodno District, Belarus, on 3 January 1946 to an ethnic Polish family, the elder of the two children of Ignacy Kondrusiewicz (1906–1985) and his wife Anna (née Szusta; 1911–1999). His sister was Maria Kondrusiewicz Buro (1949–1997). In 1962, after completing his secondary schooling, he studied at the Department of Physics and Mathematics at the Grodno Pedagogical Institute, a teachers' training college. The Transfiguration of the Lord Church (russian: Храм Преображения Господня) It is a Catholic church in Tver, belonging to the Archdiocese of the Mother of God in Moscow in the Russian Federation, built between 1994 and 2002. The Catholic parish of Tver existed since the early nineteenth century. In 1864, a larger room with bodies, a presbytery and a church was built vast library. The church was confiscated in 1920 and disjointed library. Secularized, the church was demolished in 1974. Immaculate Conception Church, Smolensk
The Immaculate Conception Church (russian: Храм Непорочного Зачатия Пресвятой Девы Марии; pl, Kościół wezwaniem Niepokalanego Najświętszej Maryi) is an old Catholic church in the city of Smolensk in Russia. This neo-Gothic building was built from 1884 to 1896 and hosted the Regional Archive of Smolensk. It is in a state of disrepair and is scheduled for complete restoration. It has a large body and remarkable stained glass windows. Religious services are now partial. The number of parishioners is around 9,000. History The church was consecrated on October 23, 1896. Records and parish archives were confiscated in 1918 during the Russian revolution. The parish meanwhile, which meets in one place, was closed during the Great Terror of 1937 and its curate executed along with a group of parishioners. History In the years following the formation of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth and the first partition of Poland in the eighteenth century, a significant number of Catholics went to populate the vast lands around the Urals. Many came to Perm in Siberia. Later, after the many Polish uprisings in the nineteenth century, thousands of Poles were sent to Siberia and the Urals. Since 1837 there was a small Catholic parish in Perm, which was then a large village. The Catholic community was 1,800 people in 1869.
